Survivor Series 2010: WWE Vs. the Nexus... Who Will Survive?
WWE finally has a chance to fix what they did wrong with the 2001 WWE vs. The Alliance Survivor Series. Even though I think it was really good pay-per-view, we all knew that WCW and ECW had been bought by Vince McMahon. This time, it's rookies inside of WWE facing against the WWE. Therefore, it is a little more believable that the WWE could lose, although unlikely.
If WWE Creative can keep this feud going, without it starting to feel stale, until Survivor Series, the pay-per-view has a good chance of being the most bought pay-per-view of 2010 behind Wrestlemania. Survivor Series needs a strong feud going for it after the whole cancellation of the show earlier this year before they decided to bring it back.
PREDICTIONS
WWE Championship: Wade Barrett will win the WWE Championship at Summerslam either from John Cena or Sheamus. He will retain the belt against whoever he defeats at SS at Night of Champions and beat both in a triple threat match at Hell in Cell. After that match, we will here the familiar entrance music Triple H. Barrett will cheat to win at Bragging Rights against The Game, but at Survivor Series Barrett will finally lose the belt to the will-be fourteen-time WWE Champion.
THE SURVIVOR SERIES MATCH: John Cena will lead the charge into this match after months of torture by the Nexus. I see the Miz switching sides and leading the Nexus team. I believe that other John Cena will be the only real babyface on his team as he will ask his former greatest enemies to team with him for one night.
Sheamus, Chris Jericho, Edge, and Randy Orton will give the WWE one of the strongest Survivor Series teams ever created, but it will be filled with tension and you would never know if someone would turn. On the Nexus side I would put Kaval, David Otunga, Skip Sheffield and Alex Riley from season two because of his association with the Miz.
OTHER WWE VS. NEXUS MATCHES: A lot have people have said that Justin Gabriel should turn good. I say no way because that would ruin what could be the match of the night, let alone a match of the year candidate. Evan Bourne vs. Justin Gabriel is dream match that has been created by WWE and they better give it to us. As is has been widely speculated, "Michael McGillicutty" will join the the Fortunate Sons along with Ted and Brett Dibiase. I think "McGillicutty" will go back to being regular old Joe Hennig and turn against the Nexus. Spurned by Hennig, the Nexus will send three of theirs to take them out. Most likely it will be Heath Slater from season one and Eli Cottonwood and Husky Harris from season two.
Of course, Smackdown will have its own matches because it is unlikely that the Nexus will invade Smackdown.
