Tiger Woods played three shots better on Friday, than the previous three over par on Thursday, but already has much ground for one mortal man to overcome. Notice the word mortal.

Delilah has cut Sampson's hair.

Kyptonite has sapped all of Superman's strength. The Flash 's ring broke and his suit won't pop out.

Say it isn't so, Moe! How many times can a man tee it up, before he wins a trophy again?

Jeff Overton, whose name has been near the leader boards for two months now, is in first at minus four, currently tied with three or four other players.

There are plenty of players right behind him, and looking to get hot as well.

Tiger will get 12 points on my fantasy team this week, for that second round of even.

I am tempted to switch to VJ Singh for Saturday and Sunday, but I will stick with Woods and hope for signs of life on the weekend.

Ricky Barnes is my C-player and is doing alright at plus two and making the cut.

My B-Players have been replaced by their back-ups for rounds three and four.

Out goes J.B. Holmes and Fredrik Jacobson, and in comes the hotter Bo Van Pelt and Robert Allenby, both of whom shot under par at minus two and minus three, respectively.

Fantasy team positions as follows, Woods 71st at plus three, Van Pelt and Allenby tied for fifth at minus three and Ricky Barnes at plus two is in 55th.

Van Pelt or Robert Allenby have the sticks to win here, but a small Tiger charge would be appreciated.

Can I get some hope for the British Open and Wood's putting, or do I have to pick Lee Westwood at St Andrews? Lord, help me!

More to follow on Saturday, bringing you scores and tirades about the AT&T National this weekend in beautiful Pennsylvania.
