Gary Cohen, Keith Hernandez and Ron Darling Are Baseball's Best Broadcast Team
Since SNY came into existence, I’ve felt it had the best broadcasting team ever. With Gary Cohen as the play-by-play man and Keith Hernandez with Ron Darling handling color commentary, they have such great chemistry.
They know what they are talking about, and I still have yet to hear them interrupt each other. I watch almost every game on SNY. Plus, with Kevin Burkhardt doing field-reporting, its just the perfect announcing team.
I have listened to other teams and don’t really find them trying to engage the listener, or trying to make them want to listen. Every time I watch Saturday Baseball on FOX, I just want to shut it off as soon as physically possible.

Yankees Call Up 6'7" Prospect 📈
Look at that 20-inning game against the Cardinals the Mets had. I mean, three hours of that group is bad, but imagine almost seven? It seems the Fox announcers always try to find a way to bash the Mets.
One example happened in a game earlier this year. I don’t remember who the Mets were playing, but I know for a fact it wasn’t the Yankees. Jose Reyes made a catch on a pop up on the outfield grass. Somehow the FOX announcers relate that to the dropped pop up by Luis Castillo last year against the Yankees. I am still wondering how a caught pop up by the shortstop relates to a dropped pop up against a different team, in a different year by the team's second baseman. Anyone know how that works?
ESPN isn’t any better. They love to bash the Mets too. I’ve also heard television and radio announcers of other teams and they're just as awful. I have fallen asleep to most of them, the ones I didn’t fall asleep to were because I was in the car. I think we need some more broadcast teams like Gary, Keith, Ron and Kevin.
