New York Mets: Derrek Lee or Ike Davis?

Well, quite a night. Was on Twitter when I saw an interesting Tweet. @FireJerryManuel on Twitter here: https://twitter.com/FireJerryManuel/status/17534496937 said

what would it take to trade for derrek lee? a C prospect and eating half of his salary?

Well I (as well as multiple other Mets fans) disagreed about getting Derek Lee and doing something with Ike Davis . Coming into tonight, I would say Davis has done better.

In 48 more at bats, Lee has 10 home runs, 36 runs batted in, and a batting average of .234. Coming into tonight, Davis has 48 less at bats yet has 9 home runs, 34 runs batted in, and a batting average of .261.

I don’t honestly see how Lee is an upgrade over Davis right now. Davis is slumping lately, but Lee has slumped all year. What do you think? Send me some thoughts by posting comments!
