Mets Walk Off Yankees 🍎

6-28 Z-Cap: Los OUCH!

Metszilla.comJun 28, 2010

The Florida Marlins handed the Mets a good ol’ fashion butt whooping down in San Juan this evening, scoring 10 runs on 9 hits (3 doubles, 3 home-runs) en route to a 10-3 victory. The loss breaks a streak of 7 straight series opening wins and marks the 5th straight road loss to the Fish this season (Marlins swept a 4 game series 5/13-5/16).  Ricky Nolasco picked up his 7th win of the season allowing 3ER while striking out 9 batters over 7 effortless innings of work.  R.A. Dickey, who became the only Mets starter to win his first 6 decisions with the team, was handed his first loss of the season by allowing 5 ER in 5 innings.  Dickey, who’s knuckler resembled the “ Elaine dance” this evening, had this to say after the game:

"

Tonight I had a good one. I had a lot of swings and misses tonight. I didn’t feel like I pitched poorly I really don’t. I am not taking this at all as a step backwards, just some tough breaks along the way. Its the nature of the game sometimes”
