Mets Walk Off Yankees 🍎

New York Mets Have a Way of Winning Recently

Flushing Baseball DailyJun 28, 2010

As mentioned in post here , mentions a Twitter post found at https://twitter.com/NewYorkMets/status/17061174652.

The Mets have now won seven straight series openers.

After yesterday’s game, I did some research to add on to that statistic.

Those series were, in order, against the Marlins, against the Padres, at the Orioles, at the Indians, at the Yankees, against the Tigers, and against the Twins.

So, four were at home while three were on the road. Of the four at home, the Mets won all of them, including one sweep.

Of the three on the road, the Mets won two series, including two sweeps, and lost one.

That’s six of seven series where the Mets won, including three sweeps. It is also seven of nine games on the road where the Mets won.

David Wright is showing power, while R.A. Dickey, Hisanori Takahashi, Mike Pelfrey, and Jon Niese have been pitching well.

All cylinders have been clicking, and they are 0.5 games behind of Atlanta, while also being first in the Wild Card standings by 2.0 games.
