Mariners Pitching Starting To Show Up
Finally Mariner fans are seeing what they have been wanting all year. The Mariners are on a 5 game winning streak with complete game wins by Cliff Lee and Felix Hernandez back to back, Ryan Rowland-Smith got his first win of the year and there have been two wins by Jason Vargas who has been combined with Doug Fister to be the bright spot in the rotation all year especially when Felix was not pitching well.
When the Mariners took part in that giant three team deal to get Cliff Lee from the Phillies this is what they thought they were going to get from him not a fully missed April because of injury. Felix who won 19 games last year has been having his troubles this year, he is definitely not pitching before his last start but he went 9 innings with only 1 run.

Yankees Call Up 6'7" Prospect 📈
The one really dark spot of this 5 game winning streak is the fact that even with it the Mariners are still 12 games under .500 and are 13 games out of first place. Maybe this shows a turnaround but will it be too little too late? Only time will tell.
