Will Tony Romo Play Like an Idol Against Green Bay?
Let's get down to the nitty gritty: Does Tony Romo want to date an American Idol or does he want to BE one?
Don't get me wrong, outside of Jerry Jones and his $67.5 "fresh cash" million mark of approval, there isn't a person on the planet more excited about Tony than me.

Projecting Every NFL Team's Starting Lineup 🔮

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Why wouldn't I be? He's led the Cowboys to a 10-1 starting season for the first time. He holds the club record for the most 300-yard games by a Dallas Cowboy's quarterback in a season with five and counting and is on pace to break more club touchdown records this year. And who can forget his 37-yard botched snap recovery scramble against the Ram's rag tag defense?
All of that, along with 3,043 passing yards and his "aw shucks" grin, almost makes me want to write the guy a $67.50 check or whatever it costs to buy his jersey. (I'm not as rich as Jerry.)
There's only one issue—is Romo ready to be America's Idol?
Let's not forget that before Romo was ever a Fantasy Football front runner, he was a fan just like the rest of us—a fan of Brett Favre's.
As a matter of fact, any time Romo has ever accomplished something spectacular, the analysts start cranking up about how he's so much like his childhood hero.
When Romo plays out of the pocket he "looks just like Favre." If he throws a side arm pass—"just like Favre." Even when he looks like he's having fun it's "just the way Favre looks."
As a matter of fact, for every Romo stat, Favre's been there and done that. He's even thrown for 313 more yards than Romo this year.
How impressed is Romo with all of the Favre comparisons?
Well, if you're a Cowboys fan, you better hope he plays like he's ready for his old American Idol to retire. The last time I checked, it didn't look as if Favre was ready to pass the torch.
