Why We Should Forgive Jim Joyce
"Nobody is perfect." said Armando Galarraga.
If he can forgive the first base umpire Jim Joyce for ruining his perfect game, we all can.
Everyone makes mistakes, Joyce just made a terrible one that makes everyone fueled with anger.

But we need to calm down, step back and take a deep breath. Joyce already has enough guilt he doesn't need it from us the fans.
Joyce was even man enough to go apologize to Galarraga after the game he felt so bad. If you listen to his interview you can tell he is sad beyond belief. So lets forgive him.
We all know in our hearts that Galarraga threw a perfect game and so does Joyce. Unfortunately it didn't turn out that way.
Now Joyce is going to receive death threats and his career will probably be done. This is like the Steve Bartman incident, he didn't deserve any death threats, no one ever does.
One call isn't going to kill Galarraga, it's not going to hurt the Tigers playoff chances and it won't affect anything else.
Jim Joyce has been an umpire for 22 years and doesn't deserve to lose his career due to a bad call.
It is unfortunate that Galarraga lost a perfect game to a bad call, but he is a good pitcher and a perfect game wouldn't define his career.
Right now its a big deal that he lost his perfect game to a bad call, but 20 years from now Galarraga will be fine.
So lets forgive Jim Joyce, nobody is perfect we have all made mistakes. Just like Galarraga said "Nobody is perfect."
