New York Mets Don't Have Many in Running for All-Star Game
Watching the Mets has been quite frustrating at times this season and it seems like Mets fans are making their dissatisfaction heard by sitting out this all-star vote.
So far the Mets only have one player in the top five of at any position which is David Wright at No. 2 for third base (which is a shame anyways because Ryan Zimmerman and Mark Reynolds aren’t even in the top five). The Mets also have Jason bay at No. 10 for outfielders.
There are two Mets that I think should be higher in the vote totals. Rod Barajas is one, but he has been so quiet this season that nobody outside of New York probably even knows what a great season he is having. Ike Davis is the other. Not that Davis has had such an amazing season, but he is not even on the ballot and I think fans have been happy enough with him that if he was, he could crack the top five at first base.
