Phillies Need to Shake Up Their Offense to Stay On Top
Check out the current regular season standings for the National League.
It has the Philadelphia Phillies leading the league at .605. Usually this would imply a dynamic defense coupled with an offense that is on fire, right? This can’t be said for the current Phils play.
Despite the Phillies lack of offensive play as of lately, they still continue to lead the National League East. If they carry on their pattern of 19 consecutive scoreless innings however, this may not remain the case. In the past six games, they have hit .193 and averaged just 2.5 runs per game. Not too impressive.

Yankees Call Up 6'7" Prospect 📈
The current team has been known to surprise people though and with Rollins back on the DL, it leaves room for others to step up. A few off games shouldn’t overshadow what the Phillies have accomplished thus far. After all, there are Phillies players ranked in the top 5 of the National League for batting average, home runs, runs and hits.
Phillies fans know nothing ever comes easy to Philadelphia, but when the Phillies are hot, they’re hot. No one wins the World Series by winning every single game in the season.
So, the slight fall in hitting is nothing to get upset over, Phils fans.
The season’s still early; one early offensive slump can’t end a season. This could still be their year.
