Mets Walk-Off Yankees 🍎

Marlins 7 – Mets 5 May 15, 2010

Dave DoyleMay 15, 2010

The Mets lost their fourth straight game and six of seven. John Maine regressed tonight with a terrible start. He walked the first three batters of the game without throwing a strike. He was lucky to get out of the first inning only giving up 3 runs on 40 pitches. You knew it was going to be a long night right from the start. He finished up going 5 IP and gave up 6 ER raising his ERA to 6.13.

The offense was switched up with Jose Reyes going back to leadoff and Angel Pagan hitting third. It paid some early dividends with the team having 13 hits and scoring 5 runs. Reyes was 2 for 5 hitting leadoff.

The offense wasn’t enough to make up for Maine’s awful start. It’s really become a sorry looking team over the last week.
