Another Game, Another Mets' Catcher Hits Walk-Off
NEW YORK-- It's starting to look like the best moves in baseball by a General Manager this past off-season.
After Rod Barajas' heroics on Friday night, walking-off for the Mets, backup catcher Henry Blanco did his part on Saturday with one of his own.
First off though, was Johan Santana, trying to rebound from his worst career start last Sunday night. He fared much better and at least gave the Mets a chance to win the game.

He went 7 2/3, allowing four runs on eight hits, striking out six and he didn't walk a batter.
His chance for a fourth win was taken away in the eighth when both Fernando Nieve and Pedro Feliciano gave up hits, allowing the eventual game-tying run to score.

The Mets were bailed out in the eighth after the Giants tied the game when Jenrry Mejia got the final out, a strikout of Juan Uribe.
Mets closer Francisco Rodriguez, attempting to bounce back from a blown-save on Friday night, pitched a scoreless ninth and tenth, although he walked two in the tenth.
Hisanori Takahashi came in to pitch a one-two-three 11th before Mets' catcher Henry Blanco hit a walk-off home run in the bottom of the inning, leading off against former Met Guillermo Mota.
The Mets with the win, took the series from the Giants thanks to two consecutive walk-off home runs by two different catchers.
They win their ninth straight home game, improving their record to 17-13 and pull within a half-game of the Giants for the NL Wild Card lead.
