Sorry, Skins... You Can't Have Bradford.
We all know that Daniel Snyder is the Veruca Salt of the NFL. He does not care how, he wants what he wants now.
Today, its seems that what Snyder and the Redskin Nation want is Oklahoma quarterback Sam Bradford. Only one problem...the St. Louis Rams, who hold the first pick in the draft, want him too.
The Skins may ultimately try to entice the Rams with draft choices and players, all in an effort to move from the fourth pick to the first. I don't think the Rams will bite, though, as the fourth pick really takes them out of the running for the three players they seem to covet (Bradford, Ndamukong Suh and Gerald McCoy). I suppose it's possible that the Rams could suddenly fall in love with Jimmy Clausen, but I don't expect that will happen.

So what are the Skins doing instead? Well, within hours of Bradford's stellar workout, there were suddenly "rumblings" of "issues" that might prevent the Rams from taking (or keeping) Bradford. Concerns about the Rams ability to sign Bradford were raised—never mind that Bradford, his agent and the Rams have been silent on this subject. Questions about whether Bradford might pull a John Elway or Eli Manning maneuver and demand a trade—again, all speculation. Redskins columnists are even trying to argue (as if they are speaking to Bradford himself) that Washington would be a better fit for him than St. Louis. Never mind that the Rams, despite their problems, have as good an offensive line as Washington, have a better starting running back, and play in a passer friendly dome.
In the end, Danny "Veruca" Snyder can sit and pout with his Redskins Nation. The Rams will not worry about internet rumors, and they will take the best player for their team.
Its looking more and more like that guy will be Sam Bradford.
