One of the biggest names in the city of Buffalo is that of former quarterback Jim Kelly, who not only led the Bills to four straight Super Bowl appearances, but was also the last quarterback to play solid and consistent football for the city.
Now, Buffalo's favorite quarterback has a favorite quarterback himself in Florida's Tim Tebow.
Kelly has been vocal about his support of Tebow and now according to Kelly's wife, Jill's Twitter account, the two had dinner on Sunday night, according to an ESPN report.
"He's a class act and a great guy," said Kelly, which was relayed via his wife's tweets.
New Bills head coach Chan Gailey has also expressed his interest in Tebow to the media and loves everything that Tebow brings to the game of football both athletically and mentally.
The Bills are once again in a full rebuild mode since they decided to move on from former coach Dick Jauren when they fired him in November.
With the Bills experiencing a quarterback carousel lately, they need to find their quarterback of the future and stick with him.
Current quarterback Trent Edwards' future is still up in the air and whether the team sticks with him or not may be determined if they selected Tebow or another quarterback in the 2010 NFL Draft.
Tebow is projected to be either a second or third round pick, and the Bills hold the No. 41 pick in the second and the No. 73 pick in the third. There is a chance that Tebow could be available for the Bills at one of those picks.
Kelly has bought into Tebow and he thinks that Tebow is the leader the Bills need.
"You need that guy behind center, not only the guy who can throw the ball and make big plays. But to be the leader and be able to pull people together," said Kelly of needing a leader at quarterback. "And you look for a guy with good character, good leadership ability and good arm strength."
Will the Bills take a chance in Tebow to build a winner?
Bills fans will have to wait until April 23 to find out when the NFL will hold the second and third round of the NFL Draft.
