Donovan McNabb...A Tough Call For The Bills?
The rumor mill about Donovan McNabb coming to the Buffalo Bills via a trade is really beginning to spin. Could the Philadelphia quarterback be a good fit in Buffalo?
Well, looking at the current quarterback situation in Buffalo, any one of the three quarterbacks of Philadelphia would be an upgrade for the Bills.
If I had my choice, McNabb would be my first choice off the Eagles' roster. I wouldn't give the Eagles anything higher than a third-round pick for him but he'd be the man for me. Good leader, classic pocket passer with a bit of scrambling ability.

Projecting Every NFL Team's Starting Lineup 🔮

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Michael Vick, who I wouldn't turn down if McNabb isn't available, hasn't really been under center for a couple years as a starter. Despite his fleet-feet, I don't think he's the proper player to groom the Bills' quarterback of the future Buffalo BETTER draft this season.
Kevin Kolb, while a promising star, could turn out to be the next Rob Johnson and I'd pass on him. Plus I am sure the Eagles will want WAY to much for him.
But McNabb has at least a good three to four years left in him, is a true professional and a good citizen to give someone like Tim Tebow, Sam Bradford or Colt McCoy the proper guidance in developing into a good NFL quarterback.
McNabb, who played at Syracuse, might find it appealing to end his career in the area where he spent four years in college.
If I was the Bills, throw the Eagles Marshawn Lynch and a fourth round pick for McNabb. Plus, remember we gave Philadelphia Jason Peters...what about recipricating?
If McNabb does come, it would be an even bigger event locally than when Drew Bledsoe came to town to be the Bills' savior. McNabb's entrance into the Western New York football scene could be the shot in the arm that Buffalo sorely needs.
Wouldn't this be a great quarterback roster for the next couple of years, beginning in 2010? McNabb, Brian Brohm and either Tebow, Bradford or McCoy.
Someone pinch me...could I be dreaming? Do dreams come true or will my nightmare of quarterbacks Trent Edwards, Ryan Fitzpatrick and Brian Brohm continue?
