Mark ButerbaughMar 23, 2010

The NBA Mock Draft Database was updated and we munched together the latest 23 mock drafts updated between 3/9 and 3/23.  First, here are the stats of the Database.  The Database also pushed to 70 mocks total, on to 100 we go.  Quite impressive for this early.

Total 2010 Mocks:  70

Updated in March:  24

When munching together the 23 latest mocks, here are your Top 7 leaders:

1st Pick:  JOHN WALL

Wall is the projected projected No. 1 pick by 21 of the 23updated mocks (91%).  Since Wall is projected by at least 65% of the mocks, he is considered the Database's CONSENSUS pick at No. 1.  Wall is  projected as the No. 1 pick, most fans out there see the Lottery as the Wall Sweepstakes.

Other projections:  Evan Turner (2)

2nd Pick:  EVAN TURNER

Just as solid as Wall at No. 1, 21 of 23 mocks are projecting Turner to go second overall.  In fact, the only two that do not have swapped 1 and 2 for Wall and Turner.    He is the Database's CONSENSUS pick.  There is a renewed debate happening on whether Turner could boot Wall out of the top spot, but we here are not buying that hype.

Other projections:  John Wall (2)
