Raptors Report Week 20: Fifth Seed Now Out of Reach for Raps?
It's about time that Chris Bosh broke 30 points. Bosh has been struggling lately, and same with the Raptors. Sure, it was against the Nets, but the Raptors got a big win.
The Raptors took the win this week in a thriller against the Atlanta Hawks, and then got smacked by the Thunder once again. They got the easy win against the lowly Nets, and maybe that's what they need to get their team going.
The Raptors still sit in eighth spot, but are only a game out of sixth. It seems that the fifth seed is out of reach; the Bucks are running away with it.
Bosh needs to get his head together and lead this team with some momentum into the playoffs.
Record: 2-1
Performance on a scale of 1-10: 6
Positives
Going 2-1, there has to be some positives. Andrea Bargnani has seemed to have broken out of his slump, and Chris Bosh had a great game against the Nets. Chris Bosh hit a big shot against the Hawks, which was my highlight of the week.
Negatives
The Raptors have to play with urgency every game from now on, and it hasn't been that way. They barely beat the Hawks without Joe Johnson, and got destroyed by the Thunder. They beat the Nets, but that's a given. This team has to come together and play harder, especially defensively.
If you look at the three games, the two wins were good but not extremely convincing, and the loss was just bad.
Overall, the Raps have to keep winning if they want to get a better seeding and avoid getting the Cavs in the playoffs. That wouldn't be pretty.
GO RAPS!
