Jets' Draft Plan: Defensive Line
Alright, my fellow fans. The 2010 NFL Draft is upon us. Gang Green came very close to reaching the Super Bowl for the first time since the late 90s. However, we still have some holes to fill in the offense and defense.
Major Question:
1. Who will replace Marques Douglas at 3-4 Defensive End?

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Douglas was a serviceable player who made key plays last season. Marques had great instincts and feel for the game. He was also a team leader.
Players to keep an eye on along the Defensive Line
1. Jared Odrick DE, Penn State
Scouting Report
Four year solid starter for Coach Paterno's program; productive and solid intangibles across the board; the best 3-4 DE in the draft.
Prediction : Could be scooped up by the Patsies before us. If he's there, no question, this is our pick in the first round.
2. Brian Price DE/DT UCLA
Scouting Report
Underachiever but great performance at the combine; reminds me a lot of Mike Mamula; motor runs hot and cold; a player with a great boom or bust grade. Vernon Gholston anyone?
2. Can Kris Jenkins be his 2008 Version?
Not likely coming off a torn ACL injury. We need depth at DT and someone to groom for future. Face it, Jenkins will be 31 and one the downside.
Players to keep an eye on on the draft
1. Dan Williams NT, Tennessee
Has the size (6'3", 327 lbs); good Player and could be the second coming of John Henderson; may take time to develop; not ready to start as technique is sloppy and footwork needs work.
Prediction:
Developmental prospect; probably be available when we pick at 29; great potential and great motor; Possibly the likely pick.
2. Terrence Cody DT, Alabama
Tremendous college career and winner; Weight fluctuates between 350 and 400 pounds; One dimensional run-stuffer; Superb instincts; at times unblockable at least in blocking field goals.
Prediction:
If we don't draft a defensive lineman with the first pick, this should be our second round pick. Imagine Mount Cody to give a breather for Big Jenks. Can we say better defense than 2009?
I will update with Defensive backs and linebackers next time.
