Top Ten Reasons Why The Broncos Are In For a Heck Of a Season

The Broncos have recieved a lot of critisizm this year. If you don't believe me ask the yahoo answers community

However, I think that next year will be different. First of all, you have to consider the fact that Josh McDaniels is a ROOKIE head coach. Most first time head coaches finish with records under .500. McDaniels got of to a hot start, but what killed him is all the attention he recieved. That won't be the case for McDaniels heading into the 2010-2011 season because he is mature enough to understand that with winning comes massive responsibility.

Surprisingly, one of the leagues offensive masterminds found a key to winning through defense. OLB Elvis Dumervil emerged this year, to become the best OLB/DE in the NFL. He was a monster at linebacker and emerged with an incredible 17 sacks! Unfortunately, he was robbed of defensive player of the year by Charles Woodson, even though we all know who should have really won it. This year, I believe that Elvis Dumervil will get the defensive player of the year award he deserves. Dumervil obviously wasn't the only star on the Broncos. FS Brian Dawkins made a huge impact on the beloved orange crush. He finished the year with 2 INT's and a incredible 95 tackles! I can't believe that Philly gave him up. I wonder if they miss him now. CB Champ Bailey had an even better year than Weapon X. (Thats Brian Dawkins nickname by the way) He finished the year with 3 INT's, including one pivital one against Dallas, and 63 tackles. OLB D.J Williams had an incredible season. Though not many know about him he piled up Por Bowl caliber numbers. He made an astounding 100 tackles, 3.5 sacks and 3 forced fumbles! The fact that a guy of this caliber missed the Pro Bowl and the eyes of NFL fans astonishes me!

The Broncos season included big wins against big teams like San Diego, (who would eventually win the division) Cincinnati, the G-Men and even the mighty Patriots as well as smaller, mediocre teams. The key for Denver to have a succesfull season is to upgrade their offense. Their are some big name HB's in free agency in this period like Lendale White, Leon Washington, Pierre Thomas and Caddilac Williams who would fit well in Denver's system. Their are even more big name WR's like Miles Austin, Javon Walker, Terrel Owens, Muhsin Mohammad, Joey Galloway and Derrick Mason. All of these big name WR's would certainly help the Broncos become contenders. (At least if T.O doesn't throw a tantrum if he's not getting passed to enough) The most important key however is for the Broncos to hold on to their maturity. They can't get carried away by big wins because they just have to go out their the next week and win again. With that in mind, I believe the Broncos can do that and their final record will be:

13-3, with a playoff berth. The Orange Crush is back my friend, and here to stay.
