Hello????

There are some quality, not high quality quarterbacks, that have just become available in former Cleveland Browns' Derek Anderson and now Brady Quinn.

Sure, they aren't the best but at least Quinn I believe has a lot more upside than the floundering Trent Edwards and Ryan Fitzpatrick and the unproven Brian Brohm.

Quinn would be a nice fit in Buffalo since he is from the Lake Erie tundra. It's not going to be a big surprise or an adjustment when he steps out on the field in a blizzard.

When Quinn was drafted out of Notre Dame, his was hoping to be a first round draft pick but that didn't happen. He really didn't have much of an opportunity to see if he could pan out in Cleveland.

The Anderson vs. Quinn debate couldn't have helped either one of them.

However, I don't know what Browns' General Manager Mike Holmgren is thinking but if you believe Cleveland is going to better with Seneca Wallace and Jake Delhomme at quarterback, I guess I really have to wonder how bad are Anderson and Quinn.

I don't think Holmgren ever proved anything to me in Seattle. The Seahawks play in the weakest division in pro football and weren't really that successful. So I take any move by Holmgren with a grain of salt.

It could be a genius move by Holmgren, but I think he's rolling the dice.

But I do thank Holmgren for taking the 35-year-old Delhomme off the free agent market and taking that option of him coming to Buffalo.

The Bills, if they played against Seattle, San Francisco, Arizona and St. Louis twice a year sure wouldn't be sitting on an 10-season playoff drought.

But now that Quinn and Anderson are both available, the Buffalo Bills NEED to sign one of them. Quinn might have a little bit more talent but Anderson might have the stronger arm.

Hey, Buddy Nix and Chan Gailey, quit wasting money on such notables as Marlon Favorite (who?) and the penalty-machine and a man on probation in Cornell Green ($3 million a years for three years..Yikes!!!). We need some real players.

I guess Jimmy Kennedy, who was "impressed" by the Bills during his recent visit, really wasn't that impressed as he re-signed with the Vikings for $3 million a year for two years to basically back up the Williams' boys.

Feel that smack in the face Buddy and Chan? Here's a guy in Kennedy who wanted to be a starter but goes back to his original team and not start. Figure it out yet? I doubt it.

You can't even get second or third tier free agents anymore.

I guess you are forced to look at practice squad players and the police blotter to find talent. You have to take a chance on a name player if they even want to hear offers.

Oh yeah, I get it....No-name players? It will force us to buy a Game Day program for $6 to figure out who are no-name players are. Great way to line your pockets with more cash!!!
