The Baltimore Ravens may have found their missing piece by acquiring star Receiver Anquan Boldin from the Arizona Cardinals.

The star receiver wasn't very costly, sending only a third and fourth round pick to the Cardinals. Along with Boldin, the Ravens also acquired the Cardinals' fifth round pick.

Boldin, who has recorded 7,520 yards and 44 touchdowns in his eight year career with the Arizona Cardinals, will improve the Ravens greatly, pairing him with another recently signed Donte Stallworth.

Boldin has flashed amazing plays and has the potential to be one of the top receivers in the league, but injuries have held him back from wearing the label of a franchise player.

Boldin was Arizona's playmaker from the start, but when they drafted Larry Fitzgerald, Boldin had to share the spotlight, which is something he did not enjoy.Β

Baltimore is the perfect place for Boldin, for both him and the Ravens.

Baltimore was just short of the Super Bowl, and looked to be just a couple players away from going to one. Boldin fits with this team perfectly, as he gives Joe Flacco his go-to-guy that he's been missing.

Derrick Mason has been reliable, but his age is starting to get to him as he retired last season before shortly coming back.

Boldin now becomes the star player he has always wanted to be, and with Flacco throwing to him, he shouldn't have any problems becoming one of the NFL's greats. He and running back Ray Rice will establish this as one of the most dangerous offenses in the league.

This is one of many Arizona Cardinals' leaders to depart. They lost future Hall of Fame quarterback Kurt Warner to retirement, linebacker Karlos Dansby is expected to sign with another team, and Antrel Rolle was released earlier this week.

Boldin was able to get two wishes granted, as he also got his extension, as the Ravens signed him to a four-year deal worth $28 million dollars.
