Exit West 36. Eagles Cut Ties With Westbrook
For the second consecutive offseason, Eagles fans have had to swallow the loss of a tenured Eagle by the name of Brian. The Philadelphia Eagles have officially released 30-year-old former pro bowler Brian Westbrook. He is the franchise's all time leader in yards from scrimmage.
It is a sad day for eagles fans when Brian Westbrook is longer wearing the midnight green. Westbrook has been a staple in the eagles backfield since he was drafted by the team in 02. He led the NFL in yard in 2007 and is arguably the Eagles greatest running back ever.
Westbrook was not his productive self in 2009. Multiple cuncussions and a nagging ankle marred the running back's season. Even with Andy Reid's abundance of pass plays per game, Westbrook was very much the peice that made Philadelphia offence go throughout the decade making for a dynamic receiver out of the backfield.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
The Eagles sensed the end was near with Brian when they drafed Pitt running back Lesean McCoy. McCoy provided a spark this year's club in the absence of Westbrook. Lesean performed well enough to lead the team in rushing and establish himself in the league.
Westbrook becomes the latest of some veteran running backs to hit the open market. Halfbacks Jamal Lewis, Tomas Jones, and Ladainian Tomlinson also looking for work. Westbrook has been a class act here in Philadelphia for the better part of this decade. Best of luck to him whereever he decides to take his career from now.
