Latest NBA Trade Talk, Who Is Being Moved Before The Deadline?

John RodgersCorrespondent IFebruary 10, 2010

Apparently there is tons of talk about the possibility of stars being swapped. Most of the talk is about Suns center Amar’e Stoudemire, but now Celtics guard Ray Allen has jumped into the trade talks as well.

Celtics-Kings (G – Ray Allen for G – Kevin Martin)

Every since Ray Allen’s name was brought up in trade talk’s the Celtics phone has been ringing off the hook.

Many teams have made offers, but the one that sticks out the most is from the Sacramento Kings. The Kings offered their guard Kevin Martin for Ray Allen. After the emergence of rookie Tyreke Evans the Kings are looking to free up some cap space with this trade.

Knicks-Rockets (F – Tracy McGrady for F – Jared Jefferies)

The Rockets already know that they’re not going to get much out of the dismantled Rockets star. The Knicks are in desperate need of a wing man.

I don’t know how serious this trade is because of the hopes of landing the big name free-agents with expiring contracts this season.

Charlotte-Celtics (F – Glen Davis for G – D.J Augustin)

After the retirement of Sam Cassel and the release of Stephon Marbury, the Celtics are in need of a backup point guard once again.

Why not go after Augustin?

Augustin has proved he can play point guard in the league when he has had chances. Then on the other side of the bracket the Bobcats get a low post threat in Glen “Big Baby” Davis.

Amar’e Stoudemire

Stoudemire is the player on everyone’s watch list. The Suns have no destination on where he could possibly land but they have written offers from over 6 teams.

Amar’e can give you scoring and rebounding. He brings so much to the table, a true definition of a franchise player.

Tyrus Thomas

After losing his temper with coach Vinnie Del Negro Tyrus Thomas days as a Bull are numbered. The team is supposedly going to ship him out before the Feb 18th trade deadline.
