The Top Five wrestlers in the business today: #4 Edge

EDGE. That's right my number 4 pick for the greatest wrestler in the business today is the "Rated R Superstar" Edge. Its well deserved too, Edge has done it all in the company he's called home for over ten year, look.

• 3 time World Heavyweight Champion
• 5 time Intercontinental Champion
• 11 time World Tag Team Champion
• Former WWE Tag Team Champion
• 2001 King of the Ring
• 2 time Money in the Bank winner (2005 and 2007)

The guy has done it all, and has become the company's top heel in recent year by taking ever short cut and advantage he can to draw heat from the crowd. Whether its banishing The Undertaker or screwing Batista at every corner, Edge has made himself the fixture of whatever brand he competes on.

Edges history is well documented. He wrote an essay on why he wanted to be trained and he won a chance to be trained. After competing in Canada for several year he made his way to WWE. Teaming with Christian, the first became part of the brood [and Had the most bad ass entrance theme ever!!!]. After the Brood broke up Edge and Christian became the leader in the "Tag Team Revolution" in the WWE. E&C went on to hold the World Tag Team Championship 7 times, beating the likes of the Hardy Boyz, the Dudleys, APA, and Too Cool. After teaming together for nearly 4 years the team of "E&C" split up and this saw Edge get a huge push as a singles star.

Edge feuded with Christian and Test for the Intercontinental Championship until he was drafted to Smackdown following Wrestlemania X8. Edge then started teaming with  Rey Mysterio and going on to have some nice tag team matches with Benoit/Angle and Los Guerreros. The team even won the WWE Tag Team titles together. A neck injury keep Edge from the ring for nearly a year.

He returned in April as a draft pick for Raw. He returned as a babyface and went on to feud with Randy Orton over the Intercontinental hampionship. He eventually went on to team with fellow Canadian Chris Benoit. They held 2 World Tag Team Championships together before Edge turned heel, due to Edge wanting Benoit's World title. Edge would be in hot purist of the World Heavyweight title for the next cuople of months. At Wrestlemania Edge won the first ever "Money in the Bank" ladder match. A match guaranteeing Edge a World Title shot within the next year. Edge then recruited the services of Lita, and here husband Kane was exactly thrilled at the news. Before Edge could refocus his sights on the World Title a old "Friend" returned in the form of Matt Hardy. The two feuded for the rest of 2005 before Edge sent Hardy to Smackdown. At New Year's Revolution Edge cashed in his "Money in th Bank" title opportunity after a brutal Elimination Chamber match, John Cena had no chance. Alas, Edge lost the title to Cena 3 weeks later at the Royal Rumble. Edge went on to hold the WWE Championship again in the summer of 2006 again losing the title to John Cena. Edge then decided to Team with fellow "Mega Heel" Randy Orton to take out DX, they actually succeeded at New Years Resolution in 2007 after Triple H injured his knee.

Over the next couple of months Edge played "low key" on Raw until on night Mr. Kennedy showed up. Edge challenged Kennedy to put up his "Money in the Bank" title match and won [obviously due to Undertaker and Kennedy's injuries]. The following Friday Edge showed up after Undertaker's brutal cage match and Mark Henry's attack and cashed in his Money in the Bank title oppritunity. He Beat "The Deadman" with no problem. Edge has gone on to be the top dog on Smackdown ever since and has captured the World Heavyweight Title 2 more times. Edge has become WWE's biggest heel and made him a star.

Edge will be rememberd for being the greatest hell in WWE since Triple H back in 2003. People will think of Edge and remember all of his heelish anticts to do whatever it took to win.
