The NY Mets Must Make Their Move... Quick
Getting ready to start a three game series with the Colorado Rockies, the New York Mets need to continue winning.
After a major comeback wins against the Angels on Wednesday night, the Mets must keep the momentum going.
Fans can keep saying there are a lot of baseball left, and as Met fans we know it can come down to the final week of the season; even the final game.

But that isn't good enough for the Mets. They need to go into the All-star game feeling great and hopefully three or four games out.
Currently they are 5.5 games out and they have not played consistent at all this year. They have to put together a good winning streak, like their city rivals are doing. The mets don't need to take over first place before the All-Star game, but they have to get the Phillies thinking about them again.
The Mets play the Phillies 12 more times this season and currently are four and two against them this year.
Being five games out, if the Mets can win about 8 of those games, they would already move up four games to them and that would put enough pressure on the Phillies— that's not even counting if the Mets start beating other teams to with the Phillies losing occasionally.
So, now is the time, they have 24 games remaining, including a four game set with the Yankees and Phillies.
Winning 18 out of these 24,which is a lot but also doable, would wake up the Phillies, wake up the New York media, and might even wake up Shea Stadium in its final year.
The season starts tonight, coming off a huge win; the Mets need to make their statement, and their run.
A sweep in Colorado would help.
