Friday Night Fights: Rockets Outlast Mavericks; Cuban Needs To Zip It

Denton RamseyDec 19, 2009

Mark Cuban needs to shut up and quit complaining.

The Houston Rockets beat the Dallas Mavericks in overtime on Friday night at American Airlines Center, and with a flurry of emotions erupting throughout the game on both sides, Cuban (as per usual) had to have the final word.

Look, Cuban, just because your damn All-Star took a bloody arm to the locker room doesn’t mean the Rockets or officials cheated to get Houston the win.

According to ESPN, Dallas owner Cuban told the media (about an hour following the Rockets 116-108 victory over the Mavericks) that his team was protesting the game; due to “multiple misapplications of the rules” regarding technical fouls in overtime.

Are you serious, Cuban?

If Cuban really wants that much say over the game, someone needs to tell him that he should be the one coaching the damn team.

The Houston Rockets outplayed your Mavericks in overtime, Cuban. Deal with it.
In an already intense rivalry, some gasoline was doused onto the Lone Star Showdown flames on Friday night in Dallas.

With emotions raging the entire evening, the Rockets pulled out a big and much-needed win.

Houston returns to the hardwood tonight at Toyota Center, as the Rockets host the Oklahoma City Thunder.

My recommendation? Break out the ketchup and mustard alternates; let’s make those Houston’s new official jerseys…
