Logan Paul Net Worth, Projected Mayweather Purse Earnings, Fight Predictions

Tim DanielsJun 6, 2021

YouTube star Logan Paul will have the opportunity of a lifetime Sunday when he steps inside the boxing ring with Floyd Mayweather Jr., one of the greatest fighters in history.

Logan and his brother, Jake Paul, have helped blaze a lucrative path in recent years by combining boxing matches, either of the exhibition or low-level professional variety, with a concert-like atmosphere ripe with celebrity sightings that have generated plenty of attention.

It's paid off for the elder Paul brother to the tune of a net worth that's entered eight figures. Celebrity Net Worth projects it at $25 million, while Wealthy Gorilla has estimated it closer to $19 million.

Although much of that financial success came from his work as a YouTuber, he can exponentially add to it if his foray into boxing continues to generate ample interest in the coming years.

Official purse figures for Sunday's exhibition haven't been released, but Paul is in line to earn $250,000 in guaranteed money with 10 percent of pay-per-view revenue, per SportingFree (via Zac Al-Khateeb of Sporting News). Paul told TMZ Sports his final figure could be $20 million. Dylan Terry of The Sun reported Paul is estimated to bring home around $19.8 million.

While on the surface those numbers would appear to double the social media star's net worth, it doesn't account for things like taxes and other costs associated with the fight, such as coaching and security.

Meanwhile, what to expect from the fight itself is a true mystery.

Mayweather could likely win the bout within the first 30 seconds if he wanted, but he's trying to make a second career out of unique exhibition matchups like this, so it makes more sense in that regard to trade shots with Paul for a majority of the eight rounds to make it feel competitive and entertaining.

The reality is Paul doesn't have the boxing background to land a significant punch Sunday. He's fought one exhibition and one pro fight, both against fellow YouTuber Olajide "KSI" Olatunji, and now he'll be standing toe-to-toe with one of the greatest ever. Expectations must be kept within reason.

If he can keep up with Mayweather's pace and make it feel like a real fight, that will be a victory on a night when an official winner won't be declared.
