Latest Betting Odds for Rory McIlroy at the Masters 2020
Rory McIlroy has won four major tournaments during his impressive professional career: the U.S. Open in 2011, the PGA Championship in 2012 and 2014, and the Open Championship six years ago.
The one major that's alluded him? The Masters. But the 31-year-old will have another opportunity to try to win at Augusta National Golf Club this weekend, when the 2020 edition gets underway on Thursday. And although he will face some tough challengers, he has solid early odds to win.
Per DraftKings Sportsbook, McIlroy's odds of capturing his first green jacket sit at +1400 (bet $100 to win $1,400). That ranks fifth behind only Bryson DeChambeau (+900), Dustin Johnson (+900), Jon Rahm (+1050) and Justin Thomas (+1250).

McIlroy's odds of finishing in the top five are at +335, and his odds of ending up in the top 10 are at +150.
The Northern Irishman's best finish at the Masters came in 2015, when he placed fourth. That year, he finished a career-best 12 under par at the course, ending strongly with a 68 in the third round and a 66 in the final round. However, he ended up six strokes behind winner Jordan Spieth.
Although McIlroy has never won the Masters, he's consistently had strong showings in the tournament, finishing in the top 10 five straight years from 2014-18. Last year, he didn't fare quite as well, ending up tied for 21st at five under par.
"There was a lot of hype and everything in that winter and spring [in 2015] that was geared toward trying to win Augusta,'' McIlroy told ESPN's Bob Harig. "Then the years since then, I've played OK but not good enough except for 2018 [when] Patrick Reed [won], but I didn't capitalize on that opportunity.''
In 2018, McIlroy shot a 65 on the third day of the tournament, matching his career-best round at Augusta, to enter the final day three strokes back of Reed for the lead. However, he shot a 74 in the last round to end up tied for fifth, six strokes behind the Texan.
This year, McIlroy has played well but has yet to win a tournament, with his last victory coming at the World Golf Championships-HSBC Champions in November 2019. He finished tied for eighth at both the Tour Championship and U.S. Open this year.
Now, his focus is on the Masters, which will be different than past years with no fans in attendance and due to it taking place in November after being postponed from April because of the coronavirus pandemic.
"The way I look at it I've got two attempts [at the Masters] in the next six months," he said. "My game is in good shape and I can give myself plenty more chances."
If he can win, McIlroy will become the sixth golfer to earn a career grand slam, joining Ben Hogan, Jack Nicklaus, Gary Player, Gene Sarazen and Tiger Woods.
