Fantasy Football Big Board: Complete PPR Player Rankings for Week 10
It seems like only yesterday that we were settling in to watch the Houston Texans and Kansas City Chiefs kick off the 2020 NFL season.
But here we are in Week 10—and if you play in a fantasy football league with a 13-week regular season, that means there is just one month to go.
It's stretch-run time.
Maybe you're one of the fortunate few who have cruised through the first nine weeks. Minnesota Vikings running back Dalvin Cook has piled up fantasy points for your squad. So has Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray. Barring a collapse over the next several weeks, you are playoff-bound.
Maybe that collapse already happened. You're 2-7, playing out the string and just looking to be a late-season spoiler.
Cue the people who drafted New York Giants running back Saquon Barkley nodding sadly.
But most likely, you're in the biggest group of all: the folks who are still fighting tooth-and-nail to earn a spot in the fantasy postseason. Every week is huge. Every lineup decision is critical. You need help. A guide that can get you a badly needed "W" in Week 10.
Say, some position-by-position player rankings for point-per-reception leagues that come with some matchups to exploit and avoid. Maybe a sleeper or three.
That sure would be handy.
Quarterbacks
1 of 6
Plenty has been written about the numbers Murray is putting up—and rightly so. He is well-positioned to be the third straight second-year signal-caller to lead the position in fantasy points.
But let's take a moment to offer some dap for a guy who has been an even better value for fantasy managers in 2020.
Given that he wasn't even supposed to open the season as the starter in Los Angeles, the Chargers' Justin Herbert was an afterthought in most drafts. But since taking the reins in Week 2, Herbert has been a top-five fantasy quarterback. The sixth pick in the 2020 draft has topped 300 passing yards four times and has tossed three or more touchdowns in four of his last five starts.
That's the kind of value that wins fantasy leagues.
GOOD MATCHUPS
Jared Goff, Los Angeles Rams (vs. SEA) (DraftKings DFS Value: $6,500)
Goff has thrown for fewer than 250 yards in two of his last three starts and hasn't had three passing touchdowns in a game since Week 2. But as we saw quite vividly in Buffalo last week, the Seattle pass "defense" makes just about every quarterback look like Patrick Mahomes.
Carson Wentz, Philadelphia Eagles (at NYG) (DraftKings DFS Value: $5,900)
Wentz isn't piling up style points, but when he faced the Giants in Week 7, he posted a season-high 359 passing yards and racked up three total touchdowns. New York has allowed at least 279 passing yards in each of the past four games and multiple scores to quarterbacks in three contests over that stretch.
BAD MATCHUPS
Lamar Jackson, Baltimore Ravens (at NE) (DraftKings DFS Value: $7,100)
Jackson hasn't been terrible in 2020, but he hasn't lived up to his early-round draft slot, either. Unfortunately, that disappointment may continue Sunday night in a bottom-five fantasy matchup with a Patriots defense that will build its game plan around stopping him.
Ryan Tannehill, Tennessee Titans (vs. IND) (DraftKings DFS Value: $6,300)
With Mahomes and Matt Ryan on a bye, some fantasy managers might look to Tannehill as a fill-in. Keep looking—the Colts have been a bottom-three fantasy matchup for quarterbacks this year, and Tannehill's Week 9 production was underwhelming (158 yards passing, 2 TDs).
SLEEPER
Tua Tagovailoa, Miami Dolphins (vs. LAC) (DraftKings DFS Value: $5,600)
Tagovailoa looked great in last week's big win in Arizona, passing for 248 yards and two scores while piling up another 35 yards on the ground. This week's game against a Chargers team giving up the seventh-most fantasy points to quarterbacks has some real shootout potential.

Running Backs
2 of 6
Injuries at running back are an unfortunate fact of life in fantasy leagues. But for once, it appears we could get more players back than we lost a week ago.
Fantasy-relevant runners got hurt in Week 9. Houston's David Johnson and Chicago's David Montgomery suffered concussions, while Justin Jackson of the Chargers suffered a knee injury. All will need to be monitored ahead of Week 10.
But Evan Macy of the Philly Voice indicated the Eagles' Miles Sanders (knee) is expected back on the practice field this week. The Cleveland Browns have designated Nick Chubb (knee) to return from injured reserve. There is optimism that Cincinnati's Joe Mixon (foot) could be back in Week 10, per Virginia Zakas of The Athletic. And after struggling mightily on the ground against the Bills last week, the Seahawks will likely make every effort to get Chris Carson (foot) back out there.
Hey, we got Christian McCaffrey back from a high ankle sprain last week...although he proceeded to injure his shoulder in the game, because of course he did.
Fantasy managers should cross their fingers all those backs are a go in Week 10. By the time you get to the back end of this week's top 20, things start looking sketchy even with them on the list.
GOOD MATCHUPS
Antonio Gibson, Washington Football Team (at DET) (DraftKings DFS Value: $5,600)
Gibson was quiet in Sunday's loss to the New York Giants (20 yards rushing, 1 TD), but the week before the rookie notched his first career 100-yard rushing day. This week Gibson and the WFT (please change the name already) face a Lions defense allowing over 128 yards per game on the ground.
Ronald Jones II, Tampa Bay Buccaneers (at CAR) (DraftKings DFS Value: $5,300)
This recommendation depends on Jones' ability to keep the ball off the ground and the Buccaneers' ability to stay ahead. But if both of those things happen Sunday, this could be an excellent bounce-back spot for the third-year player's fantasy production.
BAD MATCHUPS
Joe Mixon, Cincinnati Bengals (at PIT) (DraftKings DFS Value: $6,100)
With luck, Mixon will return in Week 10, and in season-long leagues he's probably a start just for lack of better options. But Mixon is a definite fade in DFS this week. North of six grand is too much scratch for a dinged-up running back with a terrible fantasy matchup.
D'Andre Swift, Detroit Lions (vs. WAS) (DraftKings DFS Value: $5,100)
Swift quietly had a solid Week 9 against the Vikings, with 16 touches for 97 yards. The rookie has shown more than a little promise this season, but he draws a tough matchup with Washington that could be even worse if quarterback Matthew Stafford (concussion) isn't available for Detroit.
SLEEPER
Phillip Lindsay, Denver Broncos (at LV) (DraftKings DFS Value: $5,000)
It's Lindsay who has been the more effective back in Denver this year, and he out-touched Melvin Gordon III even in a blowout Week 9 loss in which the Broncos had to abandon the run. That could mean good things Sunday against a soft Raiders run defense giving up a lot of fantasy points to the position.
WEEK 10 RB RANKINGS
- Aaron Jones, GB (vs. JAX)
- Dalvin Cook, MIN (at CHI)
- Alvin Kamara, NO (vs. SF)

Wide Receivers
3 of 6
The first half of the 2020 fantasy campaign was carnage at wide receiver. The list of prominent wideouts who missed time was as long as it was depressing.
But when Michael Thomas of the New Orleans Saints (ankle, hamstring) and Chris Godwin of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers (hand) returned in Week 9, it made the fantasy landscape mostly whole at wide receiver.
This isn't to say the pool hasn't become a bit shallower with players like Denver's Courtland Sutton (torn ACL) and Cleveland's Odell Beckham Jr. (torn ACL) out for the season. But with the exception of Detroit's Kenny Golladay (hip) and Atlanta's Calvin Ridley (who is on bye), most of the league's prominent wide receivers will be out there this week.
It's rather refreshing to worry more about matchups and less about M.A.S.H. wards.
GOOD MATCHUPS
Brandin Cooks, Houston Texans (at CLE) (DraftKings DFS Value: $5,600)
Given that he has touchdowns in six straight games, Will Fuller V is a no-brainer must-start. But Cooks quietly posted a three-catch, 83-yard, one-touchdown line in Week 9 and draws a Browns secondary that has had all kinds of trouble with the vertical passing game this year.
Robert Woods, Los Angeles Rams (vs. SEA) (DraftKings DFS Value: $6,600)
If you watched any of Sunday's shootout in Buffalo (or any of Seattle's pass defense this season) you don't need me to tell you that both Woods and Cooper Kupp are must-starts against a Seahawks secondary surrendering the most PPR points per game to wide receivers by a massive margin.
BAD MATCHUPS
DK Metcalf, Seattle Seahawks (at LAR) (DraftKings DFS Value: $7,600)
Don't look at me like that. Metcalf is having a fantastic second season, with eight touchdown grabs. He's a threat to have a huge game every week. But he also carries a high price tag in DFS heading into a matchup with Jalen Ramsey and a Rams defense that's allowed the second-fewest DK points to wide receivers.
Adam Thielen, Minnesota Vikings (at CHI) (DraftKings DFS Value: $6,000)
The Vikings are winning games by running the ball with Cook. That's fine for the team, but Thielen's numbers have cratered the past two weeks—just five catches for 65 yards over that span. He's a low-end WR2 at best in a bad matchup with the rival Bears on Monday night.
SLEEPER
Michael Pittman Jr., Indianapolis Colts (at TEN) (DraftKings DFS Value: $4,300)
With T.Y. Hilton (groin) on the sideline in last week's loss to the Ravens, Pittman led the Colts in targets (seven) and receiving yards (56). Even if Hilton is able to return in Week 10, the rookie from USC could be a sneaky-good fantasy play in a top-five fantasy matchup with the Titans on Thursday night.
WEEK 10 WR RANKINGS
- Davante Adams, GB (vs. JAX)
- DeAndre Hopkins, AZ (vs. BUF)
- Michael Thomas, NO (vs. SF)
- Robert Woods, LAR (vs. SEA)
- DK Metcalf, SEA (at LAR)
- Allen Robinson II, CHI (vs. MIN)
- Terry McLaurin, WAS (at DET)
- Keenan Allen, LAC (at MIA)
- Stefon Diggs, BUF (at AZ)

Tight Ends
4 of 6
There's a power vacuum at the top of the tight end rankings. Travis Kelce and the Kansas City Chiefs are on a bye. George Kittle of the San Francisco 49ers is out for eight weeks with a broken bone in his foot.
Enter Darren Waller of the Las Vegas Raiders.
With 10 catches for 159 yards last week, Kelce widened his lead in PPR fantasy points among tight ends. But Waller's 50 catches on 72 targets for 394 yards and four scores slot the 28-year-old in second place.
This week's matchup with the Denver Broncos isn't a great one, but Waller is still an easy pick as the top fantasy option at his position in Week 10.
GOOD MATCHUPS
Eric Ebron, Pittsburgh Steelers (vs. CIN) (DraftKings DFS Value: $4,400)
Ebron caught the winning touchdown last week in Dallas—the second straight game in which he's found the end zone. The 27-year-old has 19 targets over the past three games and is headed into a top-five fantasy matchup for tight ends with the Bengals.
T.J. Hockenson, Detroit (vs. WAS) (DraftKings DFS Value: $5,100)
Hockenson has been a big part of the Detroit passing game the past two weeks, with 12 catches on 18 targets for 104 yards and a score. That upward trend should continue Sunday in a top-10 fantasy matchup for tight ends with Washington.
BAD MATCHUPS
Jared Cook, New Orleans Saints (vs. SF) (DraftKings DFS Value: $4,600)
Cook saw his three-game touchdown streak end in Sunday night's demolition of the Buccaneers. The veteran tight end's mediocre two-catch, 30-yard, zero-touchdown line against Tampa is a reasonable expectation in a bad fantasy matchup with the 49ers.
Jonnu Smith, Tennessee Titans (vs. IND) (DraftKings DFS Value: $4,700)
Smith only had two targets last week against the Bears, but the fourth-year pro caught them both for 32 yards and a score. Smith's target share could be reduced again in Week 10, as the Colts have spent most of the season among the stingiest teams in fantasy points given up to tight ends.
SLEEPER
Jordan Reed, San Francisco 49ers (at NO) (DraftKings DFS Value: $3,500)
With Kittle out, Reed should be a significant part of the Niners offense. He carries risk after last week's one-catch turkey of a stat line, but he also had a two-score game earlier this season and gets an excellent fantasy matchup for his position in Week 10 against the Saints.
WEEK 10 TE RANKINGS
- Darren Waller, LV (vs. DEN)
- Mark Andrews, BAL (at NE)
- Rob Gronkowski, TB (at CAR)
- T.J. Hockenson, DET (vs. WAS)
- Hunter Henry, LAC (at MIA)
- Noah Fant, DEN (at LV)
- Dallas Goedert, PHI (at NYG)
- Evan Engram, NYG (vs. PHI)

Kickers and Team Defenses
5 of 6
Where fantasy defenses are concerned in 2020, the AFC is king. The top three defenses in NFL.com default fantasy scoring all hail from that side of the bracket.
The Ravens are allowing the fewest points (17.8) per game and scored their third defensive touchdown of the season last week against the Colts. Those Colts have three defensive scores of their own, have notched two safeties and rank toward the top of the NFL in a number of defensive categories.
Sacks are not one of those categories—just as was the case in 2019, the Steelers are pacing the league with 32.
In news that should surprise exactly zero people, all three defenses are top-five fantasy options in Week 10.
GOOD MATCHUPS
Mason Crosby, Green Bay Packers (vs. JAX)
Crosby's biggest problem in 2020 is that Green Bay's sizzling offense doesn't settle for three very often. However, from a matchup perspective, it's hard to argue against the Jaguars, who are third-worst in fantasy points given up to the position.
Green Bay Packers Defense/Special Teams (vs. JAX) (DraftKings DFS Value: $3,700)
It's a Green Bay sweep on special teams! The Packers didn't rack up a ton of big plays last week against the 49ers, but the Pack get another green-and-golden opportunity against rookie quarterback Jake Luton and the Jaguars.
BAD MATCHUPS
Randy Bullock, Cincinnati Bengals (at PIT)
Bullock has quietly been a solid fantasy option in 2020, as he has hit on 18 of 20 field-goal attempts and ranks fifth in fantasy points among kickers. Still, Pittsburgh's stifling defense has been one of the worst fantasy matchups for kickers.
Miami Dolphins Defense/Special Teams (vs. LAC) (DraftKings DFS Value: $2,800)
The Dolphins are one of the most pleasant surprises of the 2020 season, and the Miami defense has peeled off three non-offensive scores in the last two games. But Herbert and the Chargers are moving the ball well and aren't making the kind of mistakes that lead to fantasy points.
SLEEPER
Las Vegas Raiders Defense/Special Teams (vs. DEN) (DraftKings DFS Value: $2,500)
The Raiders haven't been an especially good defensive team in 2020, nearly allowing the Chargers to steal a win last week. But the only two teams that have given up more fantasy points to defenses this year than the Broncos (the Dallas Cowboys and New York Jets) are both on a bye.

Top 100 Flex Rankings
6 of 6
This list of the top 100 players for Week 10 can be useful in making flex decisions.
As always, quarterbacks are not listed. If your fantasy league has superflex spots, then the top of these rankings would be dominated by the reliable starters under center. Quarterbacks touch the ball every play, and touches equal opportunity.
You will also notice that this week's flex rankings are more receiver-heavy than in past weeks. Partly, that's because of all the injuries at running back. Partly, it's a matter of committee backfields. And partly, it's because we are seeing more consistency from mid-tier receivers than their counterparts at running back.
The times they are a-changin'.
