Caps Prospect Update (11/16/2009)

Mark ButerbaughNov 16, 2009

Time for an update on  the Caps prospects.  Our last update was in end of October.     For a roster of the Washington Capitals top prospects, check out our Caps Page.   Here are the latest stats for the young prospects:

D Karl Alzner:  Karl Alzner was a 1st round pick of the 2007 draft.   He is a stay at home defensemen and one of the premier prospects in the Caps system.  He is assigned to Hershey (AHL).  In 17 games, the stay at home defensemen has recorded 1 goal and 3 assists.  He is also an impressive +14, tied for the lead on the team with fellow 1st round John Carlson.  If the Caps can get rid of Michael Nylander’s cap space, we will likely see Alzner at some point in Washington.
