Have you ever had so many things going through your head at once, that it was simply impossible to compose a clear thought?? That is where I have been lately and I desperately want to come home. With all of the amazing athletic action about to commence around me, how can I be so unprepared to share my most intimate views and perceptions with my adoring fans around the sports media world??

   The World Series starts in 24 hours and already I can hear the New Yorkers and Philadelphians calling for my head as I tear into each of their teams with a fervor not felt in four score and twenty. I hate these two teams with the white hot passion of 1,000 suns, but still cannot wait to watch every inning of every game. The amount of players with supreme athletic prowess is mind boggling to say the very least. Either side can do devastating damage with batters one through nine.

   Everybody knows about the record setting potential of Ryan Howard, but does the whole world know about the Flyin Hawaiian's penchant for hitting grand slams on the grandest stage?? Most have seen MVP's Chase Utley and Jimmy Rollins smack clutch hit after clutch hit into the open spaces of the outfield, but what about Joltin Jayson Werth's ability to break open a game with a single swing?? Everybody has been witness to Cliff Lee's deadly dominance in this postseason, but what about Game 2 starter Pedro Martinez making his remarkable comeback to greatness??

   As far as the Bronx Bombers are concerned, Mark Texiera has stolen the spotlight as the most prolific off season pickup in Yankees history and A-Rod has finally come into his postseason own as one of the greatest to play the game, but has everybody gotten a chance to see what Johnny Damon still has to prove?? Or what Melky Cabrera can bring to the equation?? As far as pitching we know that Carston Charles is a dominant force at the top of the rotation, but are the masses informed on the Joba Rules??

   No matter how hard I try and skate around the truth, this one has set up to be one for the all-time ages. Whether you are a die hard Philly Phanatic like my great friend Eric. Or if you rise and fall with the Yanks like the best step-dad in the world. Or a miserable Mets fan like myself who has to watch with pent up anger and frustration from three consecutive seasons of absolute anguish. You still have to appreciate the enormity of this fast approaching series of supreme slugging and stellar strikeouts.

   I was gonna start in about the NBA madness closely approaching, but I think I will save it until after tonight's heavy weight showdown between the Cleveland Cavs and my Boston Celtics. Don't miss a minute of any of this awe inspiring action and keep coming back for more of my magnificent molding of the written word on sports.
