Mets Fans Need To Root For a Yankees Victory Over The Evil Phillies

As a Mets fan, I will be strongly rooting for the Yankees to beat down on the Phillies this World Series.

I dont know how anybody that calls themselves a Mets fan can root for the Phillies. The fact is they are a division Rival and will greatly benefit from a World Series victory.

They already have a great team with a lineup full of sluggers and a rotation with two aces. We cant afford for them to get any better.

The added revenue from a World Series victory will give them a bigger pay roll which equals a better team. Who knows what they would be able to do with the money.

Maybe they sign Jon Lackey to have the best Rotation in the universe. Maybe they add Miguel Tejada to play third base and boost their already powerful lineup. Maybe they sign a top end closer after a year of blown saves. Who knows maybe they get all three.

I understand that the Yankees are the Crosstown rivals, and trust me I certainly understand that we Mets fans have to live with the arrogance of Yankee fans on a daily basis.

The thing is do you really hate the Yankees more than the Phillies? Here's a tip look at the Picture I used for the article and then look at a picture of Derek jeter, now answer  the question.

For me the answer is easy I hate the Phillies way more than I hate the Yankees, and the fact remains we need the Yankees to notch number 27.
