Devin Booker, Zach LaVine React to Rumored Karl Anthony-Towns, T-Wolves Tension
May 19, 2018
The reported tension between the Minnesota Timberwolves and Karl-Anthony Towns has caught the eyes of a couple of former teammates.
Phoenix Suns guard Devin Booker played with Towns at the University of Kentucky, while Zach LaVine played with the big man on the Timberwolves before the team traded him to the Chicago Bulls last June.
They each had amusing tweet responses to the rumors:
Those came after ESPN.com's Zach Lowe appeared on Friday's episode of The Lowe Post and said the Timberwolves and Towns are "not in a good place internally."
What's more, ESPN's Brian Windhorst appeared on the podcast as well and suggested trade discussions centering around Towns are not out of the realm of possibilities this offseason.
Towns already has the 2015-16 Rookie of the Year award and an All-Star Game appearance on his resume, and the 22-year-old is a double-double threat every time he steps on the floor. If the rumors are true, Booker and LaVine may just have earned some extra favor with their franchises.
