Collin McHugh Becomes 1st Pitcher to Use Diamondbacks' Bullpen Cart
We can all agree that walking is for the birds. Running? Sometimes even worse. So shout out to Collin McHugh for finally taking the plunge and becoming the first player to use the bullpen cart at the Arizona Diamondbacks' field Saturday night.
"It was there, they provided it for us, so I decided to give it a shot," the Houston Astros reliever told reporters. "I am still new to this whole bullpen thing, so I don't think I have too much of a routine to deviate from."
The Diamondbacks have had the cart available since Opening Day, but no player used it in their first 17 games. McHugh, who has been stellar since his transition to the bullpen, pitched 1.1 innings of scoreless relief after using the cart.

"I was kind of jealous," Diamondbacks reliever Archie Bradley said. "I've been wanting to use it. Haven't found the right time. But yeah, he's the first guy to use it, and maybe more guys will jump on. I'm going to keep jogging out."
While legal under MLB rules, prior to Saturday, a cart had not been used in a game since 1995.
