Preview

While it's nearly impossible to make a mock draft without knowing next year's draft order, it's not difficult to at least make a draft board of college football's best available players.
This draft board is based primarily on production and, more notably, potential ceiling. Some players, such as Stanford running back Bryce Love, are electrifying prospects, but that doesn't mean they will go No. 1 overall.
Look no further than the first player on this draft board, Ed Oliver. For those unfamiliar with the name, it's not too let to get on the bandwagon. But for those diehard football fans who watched Oliver destroy offensive schemes on Houston's defensive line last season, it should not be a surprise to see him this high on this list.
The 6'3", 291-pound defensive menace is nearly unblockable at the collegiate level. After becoming a first-year starter at Houston, Oliver won the Outland Trophy in his sophomore year as the nation's top interior lineman.
He has also declared for the 2019 NFL draft a full year before it begins.
There's no doubt Oliver will be a top-five selection next year, but it does make you wonder whether he would consider not playing at Houston to instead sit out to prepare for the draft to avoid the risk of injury.
Another defensive lineman who could go early in next year's draft, and perhaps even No. 1 overall, is a familiar name: Nick Bosa.

That's right—there's another Bosa coming out of Ohio State. And he just might be a better prospect than his older brother, Joey.
While Joey Bosa has gone to become one of the NFL's rising stars on the defensive side of the ball, Nick is picking up where his brother left off with the Buckeyes and making life a living hell for opposing offensive linemen and quarterbacks.
Whatever they are feeding the Bosa boys in the family, keep it going. They seem to have found the recipe for how to generate a pass rush.
