Nike officially unveiled the new WNBA uniforms ahead of the 2018 season.

Nike and the WNBA offered a first look at the new jerseys earlier this month at the 2018 draft and finally provided fans with the full picture Thursday. Here's how the reigning champion Minnesota Lynx will look when they defend their WNBA title, courtesy of the league's official Twitter account:

The overall design for each team's uniform remains the same across the league, which was the case with Adidas as well. According to Nike's official statement, the "Icon Edition" features the team's primary color, with the "Statement Edition" based on the secondary color.

High Post Hoops' Howard Megdal reported the home team will have first choice on which of the two uniforms to wear.

The WNBA shared a video in which a number of stars explained how they helped Nike design this year's jerseys:

Nike is entering its first year as the WNBA's official on-court apparel provider after both the NBA and WNBA switched over from Adidas last fall.

The 2018 WNBA season tips off May 18 when the Phoenix Mercury welcome in the Dallas Wings. The opening weekend also features a rematch of the 2017 WNBA Finals as the Los Angeles Sparks take on the Lynx.
