NFL Draft Start Time 2018: Live Stream, TV Schedule and Latest Rumors

Joe TanseyApr 26, 2018

With hours remaining before the No. 1 overall pick in the 2018 NFL draft is announced at AT&T Stadium, no one is 100 percent sure who the Cleveland Browns will select.

What we do know about Thursday's first round is that quarterbacks are a hot commodity, with as many as six signal-callers who could hear their names called over 32 picks.

USC's Sam Darnold, UCLA's Josh Rosen, Oklahoma's Baker Mayfield and Josh Allen of Wyoming are the prized prospects at the top of many draft boards, but there's also a group of non-quarterbacks, led by Penn State running back Saquon Barkley, who could go in the top 10.

Latest Rumors

It appears the Browns are taking a quarterback with the No. 1 overall pick, but which one remains to be seen.

Buzz around the NFL is trending toward Heisman Trophy winner Mayfield. ESPN's Adam Schefter reported there is a mounting belief throughout front offices the Oklahoma gunslinger will go first:

ESPN's Josina Anderson furthered that trend, saying she thinks—based on information she collected throughout the morning Thursday—the Browns are picking Mayfield:

A free-for-all is expected after the Browns take their guy, as the New York Giants could search for trade partners at No. 2.

Although there should be some enticing deals presented to the Giants from quarterback-hungry teams,  according to Ian Rapoport of NFL Network, the Giants want to make to pick with little interest coming their way as of now:

As for the rest of the quarterback crop, Darnold could fall to No. 3 for the New York Jets, who traded up three spots with the Indianapolis Colts. Bleacher Report's Matt Miller thinks that would be best possible result of the deal for the Jets:

Allen is in hot water entering Thursday's first round after offensive tweets from his time in high school emerged through a Yahoo Sports report.

The Wyoming quarterback apologized for the tweets to ESPN's Stephen A. Smith and Schefter speculated a team plotted to have his tweets put out in order to have him fall to them in the first round:

When it comes to first-round trades, the Buffalo Bills and Arizona Cardinals could make deals for quarterbacks, and the New Orleans Saints might be a player in the trade market, as Rapoport noted:

With nothing set in stone and the rumors continuing to swirl, the first round should be wildly entertaining with plenty of twists and turns.
