John Cena: 'My Heart Hurts For' Nikki Bella After Breakup

WWE Superstar John Cena commented on his breakup with Nikki Bella on Wednesday while promoting the upcoming Bumblebee movie at CinemaCon in Las Vegas.

According to TMZ Sports, Cena said, "The split's tough. I love Nicole with all my heart."

The 16-time WWE world champion added: "It's a tough time but that's life. We all go through highs and we all go through lows. I'm gonna get through it. I love her. I'll always love her. The fact that my heart hurts for her ... I know I was in love. So, I'll always have that."

Emily Longeretta of Us Weekly reported on April 15 that Cena and Bella had split up ahead of their wedding, which was scheduled for May.

The following day, a source told Karen Mizoguchi of People that Bella broke up with Cena due to the latter seemingly having cold feet regarding the wedding.

Cena publicly proposed to Nikki after their mixed tag team match win over The Miz and Maryse at WrestleMania 33 in Orlando, Florida, last year. His unwillingness to get married had been a long-running storyline on E! reality show Total Divas.

Cena and Bella's breakup will be featured on the upcoming season of Total Bellas.
