Brie Bella denied ill will toward John Cena on Wednesday following his highly publicized breakup with her twin sister, Nikki Bella.

According to Karen Mizoguchi of People, a source said, "On one level, Brie wants to kill [John], sure. No one should be allowed to hurt her sister like this."

On her Instagram story, Brie wrote, "I'd never say this."

She added, "I'll always love @johncena like a brother. He'll always be family. My heart is hurting for he and my sister."

Earlier this week, Cena and Nikki Bella announced that they had ended their six-year relationship just weeks before their scheduled May 5 wedding.

On Monday, Mizoguchi reported that a source close to the situation said Nikki broke off the engagement due to Cena's perceived lack of desire to marry her.

Cena proposed to Nikki last year at WrestleMania 33 in Orlando, Florida, after previous episodes of Total Divas showed him stating that he never wanted to get married again after his first marriage ended in divorce.
