NFL Draft 2018: Full 1st-Round Mock Draft with 1 Week Remaining

David McCrackenApr 19, 2018

With the 2018 NFL draft approaching on April 26, it's safe to say that there is no clear No. 1 pick in the class. But that doesn't necessarily mean that this crop of collegiate talent is inferior to those from previous years.

In fact, this year's first round could feature multiple Day 1 starters across the board, particularly in the top 10.

While the draft statuses of Josh Allen, Saquon Barkley and Josh Rosen are all up in the air, it's time for another round of mock drafts.

Storylines to Watch

Where does Josh Rosen fall?

If you believe what you read on the internet, it would seem that UCLA quarterback Josh Rosen has fallen out of favor with many of the draft's top teams and will slide in the first round.

One team that has a lot of interest, according to multiple reports, is the New England Patriots, who would love to draft the next coming of Tom Brady.

However, that won't happen unless the Patriots trade up big time in this year's draft. Why? Rosen is too good of a quarterback to fall down that far with so many teams desperate for a player under center.

Say what you want about Rosen, but he's as talented as any quarterback in this year's draft, regardless of what he might say to the media off the field. Rosen won't fall outside of the top five because the likes of the New York Jets and Denver Broncos can't pass up on a potential franchise quarterback.

While trades are still possible, it looks as if Rosen will land at No. 5 and study under Case Keenum in the short term until he's ready to take the reins of a franchise in what would be one of the more desirable landing spots for a young quarterback.

Will Saquon Barkley land in New York?

Saquon Barkley has already been spotted wearing some New York Giants apparel, but that doesn't mean he'll be playing alongside Eli Manning in the Giants backfield.

For all the talk surrounding the Cleveland Browns drafting a quarterback at No. 1, don't sleep on the idea that they'll take arguably the best overall player in the draft in Barkley, who is more of a sure thing than any quarterback available.

Despite signing Carlos Hyde this offseason, the former Penn State running back could contend for the starting role from Day 1 in Cleveland. And while there are some reports that Barkley's management wanted him to publicly denounce the Browns as a possible team to play for, Barkley seems open to the idea of turning the Browns franchise around.

If he were to land with the Giants, a trio of Barkley, Manning and Odell Beckham Jr. could be quite tantalizing. And who knows? Maybe former Dallas Cowboys wide receiver Dez Bryant will make his way up North to a divisional rival to create a fearsome tandem at the wide receiver position.
