Atlanta Braves pitcher Anibal Sanchez had to be carted off the field prior to Wednesday's game against the Philadelphia Phillies.
Per MLB.com's Mark Bowman, the medical staff placed Sanchez's left leg in an air cast before taking him off the field.
Per 680 The Fan, Sanchez appeared to grab at his hamstring as he was doing sprints in the outfield.
Sanchez opened spring training with the Minnesota Twins, but they released the right-hander on March 11 after agreeing to a deal with Lance Lynn.
The Braves gave Sanchez a minor league deal with an invitation to spring training five days later. He was called up from Triple-A on April 2 and was scheduled to make his next start on Thursday against the New York Mets.
In three appearances this season, Sanchez has a 1.29 ERA with 14 strikeouts in 14 innings. The 34-year-old has also pitched for the then-Florida Marlins and Detroit Tigers in his 13-year MLB career.
