Jarvis Landry Says Odell Beckham Jr. Won't Be Traded: 'He's Going to Be a Giant'
Wide receivers Jarvis Landry and Odell Beckham Jr. were college teammates at LSU, but don't expect them to lace it up for the same side again during the 2018 NFL season.
Landry called his push for his Cleveland Browns to trade for the New York Giants pass-catcher "over" and acknowledged, "He's going to be a Giant for another year," per Zac Jackson of The Athletic.
Landry's declaration that his hopes of reuniting with Beckham in 2018 were dashed likely ends the possibility of Cleveland featuring a loaded wide receiver corps as it looks to bounce back from last year's 0-16 finish. The possibility of Beckham, Landry, Josh Gordon and Corey Coleman all on the field together would have given opposing secondaries nightmares.

Rookie WRs Who Will Outplay Their Draft Value 📈
Beckham rumors have been a primary talking point around the NFL this offseason, especially after Giants co-owner John Mara said during the owners meetings, "I wouldn't say anyone's untouchable," per Pat Leonard of the New York Daily News.
Beckham is set to make just under $8.5 million in 2018 after the Giants exercised his fifth-year option, per Spotrac, but Ian Rapoport of NFL.com previously reported the receiver wouldn't "set foot on a field without a new contract extension."
However, that Landry believes Beckham will be a Giant in 2018 echoes recent reports.
Adam Schefter of ESPN reported last week there is a belief around the league New York will not trade him before or during April's NFL draft. Elsewhere, Ralph Vacchiano of SNY cited a team source who considered it "highly unlikely" the Giants trade him.
Although he played a mere four games in 2017 due to a season-ending ankle injury, Beckham is just 25 years old and was a Pro Bowler in each of his first three seasons in the league. He topped 1,300 receiving yards and tallied at least 10 touchdown receptions in all three of those years and would be the top receiver on almost any team in the NFL.
It apparently won't be the Browns, though, given Landry's comments.
