Drew McIntyre's brief run in NXT appears to be over after he returned to Raw as part of the WWE Superstar Shake-up.

The former NXT champion joined Dolph Ziggler for a beatdown of Titus O'Neil and Apollo:

McIntyre hasn't wrestled since losing the NXT title to Andrade "Cien" Almas at NXT TakeOver: WarGames in November. The defeat ended his championship reign at 92 days after he won the belt from Bobby Roode at NXT TakeOver: Brooklyn III.

In addition to dropping the NXT Championship, McIntyre suffered a torn biceps against Almas.

Now that he's healthy again, a move up to the main roster made the most sense. There was little need for McIntyre to continue wrestling in NXT.

However, some fans were likely disappointed to see the Scot align himself with Ziggler on his return to Raw. With McIntyre, Heath Slater and Jinder Mahal all on the same show, a 3MB reunion has never been closer to happening.
