The Los Angeles Dodgers joined in the fight against diffuse intrinsic pontine glioma on Saturday by participating in the #LemonFaceChallenge.

The challenge was initiated by Aubreigh Nicholas, an 11-year-old from Mobile, Alabama, who was diagnosed with DIPG, which is a "highly aggressive" and "difficult to treat brain tumor" at the base of the brain, according to ChildrensHospital.org

Dodgers second baseman Kike Hernandez posted the video of his teammates embracing the sour test and challenged the Arizona Diamondbacks to complete it next:

We accepted Aubreigh’s #LemonFaceChallenge🍋 to spread #DIPG awareness! We now challenge the @Dbacks. You guys have 48 hours to do it. To find out more about Aubreigh; go to Facebook and look up Aubreigh’s Army. https://t.co/xv2UpOc8d1

Alabama Crimson Tide head coach Nick Saban also completed the challenge Friday in a video posted to the Aubreigh's Army Facebook page:

"Our team is so proud to be a part of Aubreigh's Army as you continue your fight and also your efforts in helping raise awareness for DIPG," Saban said. "I want you to know that you are in our thoughts and prayers, and we are behind you 100 percent. God bless you, and Roll Tide."
