WWE WrestleMania 34: B/R Expert Match Picks, Predictions and Analysis

The Doctor Chris MuellerApr 6, 2018

WrestleMania 34 is finally upon us after months of preparation that started in earnest all the way back at the Royal Rumble in January.

The men and women of WWE will do battle Sunday on The Grandest Stage of Them All at the Mercedes-Benz Superdome in New Orleans.

Here is a look at the card, according to WWE.com:

  • Cedric Alexander vs. Mustafa Ali (Cruiserweight Championship)
  • Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal
  • Women's Battle Royal
  • The Bar vs. Braun Strowman and a mystery partner (Raw Tag Team Championships)
  • The Usos vs. The New Day vs. The Bludgeon Brothers (SmackDown Tag Team Championships)
  • Ronda Rousey and Kurt Angle vs. Triple H and Stephanie McMahon
  • Shane McMahon and Daniel Bryan vs. Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn
  • The Miz vs. Finn Balor vs. Seth Rollins (Intercontinental Championship)
  • Randy Orton vs. Rusev vs. Bobby Roode vs. Jinder Mahal (U.S. Championship)
  • Charlotte Flair vs. Asuka (SmackDown Women's Championship)
  • Alexa Bliss vs. Nia Jax (Raw Women's Championship)
  • Aj Styles vs. Shinsuke Nakamura (WWE Championship)
  • Brock Lesnar vs. Roman Reigns (Universal Championship)

The Undertaker vs. John Cena is expected to happen in some way after weeks of Cena taunting The Deadman, but as of Friday morning, it has not been confirmed.

Bleacher Report's lineup of writers will analyze each feud and provide predictions for all of the matches. Our group is made up of the following:

The Bar vs. Braun Strowman and a Mystery Partner (Raw Tag Titles)

1 of 14

Q: Who is the best choice for Strowman's mystery partner, and why would they make a good team?

RD: If Neville and WWE have resolved their issues, The King of the Cruiserweights would be a great fit. He can provide the high-octane, high-flying offense for the duo while Strowman delivers the power-centric side of things. Plus, WWE could use Neville back on TV.

Prediction: Big Show teams with Strowman to take down The Bar.

AM: With both Big Show and Big Cass, the idea of the team could be two giants decimating the competition and, eventually, the partner could turn on Braun Strowman. If they do a David and Goliath thing, it would get old way too fast.

Prediction: Strowman wins the titles with his partner.

KB: The way WWE has set up the reveal, the choice for Strowman's partner has to be someone Strowman trusts and a major return or debutant. Therefore, the best logical choice is the recently re-signed Show given their history and potential as a dominant tag team, even if it's not all that exciting.

Prediction: Strowman and Show overpower The Bar and capture the tag titles.

GM: From Big Show to James Ellsworth, there are quite a few people it could be, but I think Samoa Joe makes the most sense if Strowman is set to have a lengthy stay in the tag team division. Those two could do some damage together and their relationship could lead to an feud, not to mention it would give Joe his overdue WrestleMania moment.

Prediction: Braun Strowman and his partner.

EB: It may not be the popular choice, but rather than going with something nonsensical for the partner, I'll say Big Show. The two have had numerous wars in which they have built respect for each other, and the image of two monsters tearing through The Bar is one Vince McMahon can sink his teeth into.

Prediction: Strowman and his mystery partner.

CM: I would love to see someone like Lars Sullivan come up from NXT to join him. It would be an unexpected direction for WWE to go, and they would complement each other perfectly.

Prediction: Strowman and his partner.

JJ: Samoa Joe. Imagine these two titans together. They would decimate the Raw tag division, and who better to chase the titles than the Authors of Pain? Yeah, Give me Braun Joe-Man all day every day.

Prediction: Braun and his partner.

The Miz vs. Finn Balor vs. Seth Rollins (IC Title)

2 of 14

Q: What would a victory in this match do for The Miz post-WrestleMania?

RD: It would give him added fuel to crown himself the greatest intercontinental champion ever. And he would continue to be Raw's anchor with that title in hand.

Prediction: Rollins wins to become IC champ.

AM: It would give him more credibility than the average person is willing to admit he should have. The Miz is always a potential loser, and a win here proves he can defeat two of his fellow top stars even when his back is against the wall, which would help to solidify him as one of the best intercontinental champions of all time.

Prediction: Balor takes the title.

KB: If he wins, he would basically guarantee he hits the record for the longest total days as intercontinental champion in history. That would establish his legacy with the title and hopefully allow him to move up the card to compete for the world title.

Prediction: Rollins steals the pin on The Miz from Balor to take the IC title.

GM: The Miz is destined to return to SmackDown Live, if only so he can finally feud properly with Daniel Bryan, but that won't happen so soon. Balor and/or Rollins could head to the blue brand first after 'Mania, leaving Miz to defend the intercontinental title against whomever remains on Raw.

Prediction: The Miz retains the Intercontinental Championship.

EB: A win here would almost force WWE management to get the title off of him as soon as possible and push him as a main event star on Monday nights. Beating Rollins and Balor in one match would do that for him.

Prediction: Rollins wins.

CM: It would give him the momentum he needs to become the greatest IC champion in history. A win over two stars like Balor and Rollins would give him bragging rights for months.

Prediction: The Miz retains.

JJ: Ironically, nothing more than a signature victory. Miz is the top heel in WWE and has already solidified his spot as an all-time great. This would just be extra credit. If this were a universal title main event, then it would have a stronger impact.

Prediction: The Miz retains.

Randy Orton vs. Rusev vs. Jinder Mahal vs. Bobby Roode (U.S. Title)

3 of 14

Q: Why do you think Rusev was added to this match at the last minute, and will his presence affect the outcome?

RD: WWE needed a place to insert a popular star and this was a natural fit. He's suddenly one of the favorites in a match that seemed to be a lock for Orton beforehand.

Prediction: Orton retains.

AM: To be honest, I have no idea why he's here instead of being picked as the winner of the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal if WWE wanted to give him some of the spotlight. I imagine the match will go down about the same as it was set to before his inclusion, which renders the whole thing kind of pointless.

Prediction: Orton retains the championship.

KB: Rusev has gotten himself over in a major way and deserved a big spot on the card, so it made sense to add him to a match that was not all that exciting. I believe he has the best chance to win the U.S. title because WWE will likely want to get the title off Orton but keep him feuding with Roode.

Prediction: Rusev steals a pinfall on Mahal after The Modern Day Maharaja takes an RKO and Glorious DDT.

GM: Regardless of the reason of why he was added to the match, he makes this match 10 times more interesting. While I maintain WWE will go with Jinder Mahal as the winner because he is the only man in the matchup to have never held the U.S. title, Rusev would be the smartest choice because of his immense popularity.

Prediction: Mahal wins the United States Championship.

EB: Rusev was added to this match at the last minute to make up for the poor follow-up to his immense popularity in recent months. He does not stand a chance of winning the title here, but a championship match at WrestleMania should be enough to ease any hard feelings between the performer and management.

Prediction: Orton retains.

CM: He was added as a result of his popularity and merchandise sales. It's as simple as that. He won't affect the outcome unless WWE has decided to embrace Rusev Day and give him the U.S. title to keep him happy.

Prediction: Orton retains.

JJ: The Rusev Day buzz helps. Why not get one of your most over talents on the card? It will keep fans interested.

Prediction: Mahal Walks away with the gold.

Charlotte Flair vs. Asuka (SmackDown Women's Title)

4 of 14

Q: Who do you think should be the one to break Asuka's undefeated streak and why?

RD: Bayley, who lost the NXT women's title to Asuka, eventually fighting her way back into contention and knocking off the undefeated warrior in an upset would be a stirring story.

Prediction: Asuka wins the best women's match in WrestleMania history.

AM: It should be someone who needs the rub rather than a star like Ronda Rousey, Shayna Baszler or Charlotte Flair. I would love to see it be Ember Moon to balance out their previous battles or maybe Candice LeRae if Asuka turns heel in the future.

Prediction: Asuka's undefeated streak continues.

KB: I would have the undefeated streak last throughout 2018 all the way to WrestleMania 35, where Asuka would be challenged by the winner of the second women's Royal Rumble. It should be someone newer to the roster to help establish her, so I would go with Moon or Kairi Sane.

Prediction: Asuka makes Charlotte tap to the Asuka Lock and wins the SmackDown Women's Championship.

GM: This may not be a popular opinion, but I have always envisioned Moon ending Asuka's undefeated streak after everything they went through together in NXT. I would still go with Asuka vs. Rousey at next year's WrestleMania, but Moon beating Asuka would make for a stellar story.

Prediction: Asuka wins the SmackDown Women's Championship.

EB: Asuka has been built up to such an extent the only person believable enough to beat her is Rousey. Like it or not, the baddest woman in sports should down The Empress of Tomorrow when the time is right.

Prediction: Asuka wins.

CM: Some people won't like this answer, but it would be amazing to see Carmella cash in Money in the Bank right after Asuka wins the belt to end her undefeated streak. Everyone knows how tough Asuka is, so losing one match wouldn't hurt her push. Carmella would benefit from the massive heat she would get from the crowd and become the new top heel on SmackDown Live.

Prediction: Asuka makes Charlotte tap out.

JJ: Someone we haven't seen yet. The streak should be used to push the next female superstar to the moon.

Prediction: Asuka wins.

Alexa Bliss vs. Nia Jax (Raw Women's Title)

5 of 14

Q: How would you book this match to get the most out of a potential Jax title win?

RD: I say go with a high-energy squash a la Ultimate Warrior dethroning The Honky Tonk Man in 1988.  A steamrolling would be just the comeuppance we need to see Bliss suffer.

Prediction: Jax wins despite James' interference.

AM: Nia Jax absolutely, positively, quickly and decisively demolishes Alexa Bliss in roughly one minute to assert her dominance and give the champion her comeuppance for being mean, as WWE could turn it into an anti-bullying message.

Prediction: Jax wipes the floor with Bliss and wins the title.

KB: The only way to pay off this story is having Jax squash Bliss. The match should last no more than five minutes, with Jax running through Bliss with so much built up anger that The Goddess has no answer.

Prediction: Jax plants Bliss with a Samoan drop and then two leg drops for good measure before taking the win.

GM: On a card with so many matches, I don't foresee this standing out, at least if they go for a standard singles match. Considering we aren't sure how much in-ring chemistry they will have, booking this as a glorified squash match with Jax taking the title from Bliss in a matter of minutes would be the most effective approach.

Prediction:  Jax wins the Raw Women's Championship.

EB: Starting her off hot is key, and beating Bliss in short order while overcoming outside interference from Mickie James would be as good a way to pop the crowd and create genuine excitement about her title run. Maintaining it will be the key.

Prediction: Jax wins.

CM: It would be over in seconds. Having Jax stand up to her bully and destroy her with one Samoan drop would not only make her look like the dominant force she should be portrayed as, but it would also clear up some time on a show packed to the brim with matches.

Prediction: Jax wins the belt.

JJ: I would make the match as entertaining as possible. The contrast of sizes and styles play well here. Pull out all the stops and let Jax dominate in the end.

Prediction: Jax gets her first title reign.

Triple H and Stephanie McMahon vs. Kurt Angle and Ronda Rousey

6 of 14

Q: Who should be Rousey's first real rival on the main roster once this match is over and why?

RD: Banks would be a smart early foe for Rousey as someone who can lead the way for the newbie in the ring. And should Rousey beat her, The Boss would make for quite a stepping stone considering her championship resume.

Prediction: Rousey and Angle win.

AM: Mickie James. Ronda Rousey is greener than grass and doesn't know what she's doing yet, so she needs a veteran who could walk her through the motions and put her over.

Prediction: Rousey and Angle are victorious.

KB: Rousey should not go headlong into a feud with one of the top stars because she still needs time to train and develop. Therefore, she should continue her burgeoning rivalry with Absolution—in particular fighting Sonya Deville on pay-per-view given their respective MMA backgrounds.

Prediction: Rousey makes Stephanie tap to an armbar to give her team the victory.

GM: WWE should put Rousey in the ring with someone she can learn from but also who could afford to take a few losses. Either Mandy Rose or Sonya Deville from Absolution are the only names that come to mind since Sasha Banks, Bayley, Bliss and Jax are busy. If not them, maybe Natalya if she's moved over from SmackDown Live.

Prediction: Rousey and Angle win.

EB: Rousey should work with someone like James, whose wealth of knowledge could help Rowdy grow as a professional wrestler. Timing, psychology and successful in-ring chemistry would be on the menu.

Prediction: Rousey and Angle win.

CM: It would be a mistake to put her into a feud with a top star right away. She could work with someone like James or Alicia Fox to get her feet wet before she challenges for a title.

Prediction: Rousey and Angle win with dual submissions.

JJ: Let her feud with Banks. A heel Boss could get the most out of Rousey as she evolves her WWE character.

Prediction: Rousey and Angle go over.

Cedric Alexander vs. Mustafa Ali (Cruiserweight Championship)

7 of 14

Q: Besides Alexander and Ali, which Superstar from the cruiserweight division do you think is the most deserving of a title reign?

RD: Gulak would make a good champ down the road. He's been one of the most consistent talents in the division, delivering both in the ring and as a character.

Prediction: Ali wins a show-stealing classic.

AM: Gentleman Jack Gallagher has taken a few steps down in terms of entertainment value, but at one point, he was one of the most fun people on the roster and should have been more in title contention than he was. He's a shell of his former self, but there's still time to turn it around and give him the belt.

Prediction: Flip a coin, but for argument's sake, let's say Alexander wins.

KB: While he is not among the elite workers in the division, Drew Gulak is the top entertainer on the brand, and that is worth more than just one title reign. The Master of the PowerPoint Presentation is as charismatic and engaging a performer as the division could possibly hope for, and I would love to see him capture the championship in 2018.

Prediction: Ali survives Alexander's best shots and hits the 054 for the win, finally breaking Alexander, who turns heel and attacks his friend.

GM: Roderick Strong could be a super-valuable asset to 205 Live if becomes a permanent member of the division after WrestleMania, as well as Buddy Murphy. He has had some spectacular showings lately, so hopefully fans stop sleeping on him and realize just how talented he is.

Prediction: Alexander wins the Cruiserweight Championship.

EB: Murphy has been incredible since his call-up and is obviously in line for a title shot after WrestleMania, at least based on recent booking. Other than him, Gulak has been low-key great for the past year but can't seem to get a sustained push.

Prediction: Alexander wins.

CM: Gran Metalik is someone who has been criminally underused on 205 Live until recently. He can put on a great match with anyone and represents the kind of luchadors who first made the division popular in WCW.

Prediction: Alexander wins his first title in WWE.

JJ: Gulak. His No Fly Zone gimmick is hilarious, and I would love to see it expand in 205 Live.

Prediction: Alexander wins.

Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal

8 of 14

Q: Who would be the most satisfying winner of the Andre trophy?

RD: I'm a sucker for an underdog story and for Heath Slater in general. It would be fun to see him go another Cinderella run by taking the victory here.

Prediction: Goldust gets a win to add to his legacy much the way Big Show did in 2015.

AM: A returning Big Cass or Samoa Joe would benefit the most, as it would give them some momentum to pick up where they left off or turn their careers around. Anybody else would probably be treated the same as previous winners, with their push disappearing in a few weeks.

Prediction: Big Cass wins.

KB: All reports indicate Joe is ready to return, with Raj Giri of Wrestling Inc among those suggesting as much. He would be the perfect wrestler to win the battle royal as a statement victory. He doesn't need the win as much as the match needs him, with Joe's win adding greater significance to the Battle Royal going forward.

Prediction: Matt Hardy takes the win with the help of a reborn Bray Wyatt.

GM: Winning the Andre Battle Royal has proved to be more of a curse than anything in recent years, so I'm not sure I would want anyone with a hint of momentum, such as Woken Hardy coming out on top in it. Nevertheless, his would be a satisfying victory. If not, a surprise pick like Mike Kanellis would be good after everything he's been through in his personal life.

Prediction: Big Cass wins.

EB: Dolph Ziggler, if only because I'm biased and the fact he has yet to have that defining WrestleMania moment despite a ton of hard work for WWE over his decade-plus with the company.

Prediction: Goldust wins.

CM: Curt Hawkins. Think about how amazing the reaction would be if the most unlikely candidate won the whole thing. It would be epic.

Prediction: A returning Jeff Hardy.

JJ: Someone from NXT to give them a nice push going into a main-roster run or Woken Matt for the chaos.

Prediction: Woken Matt wins the Battle Royal in remembrance of the humongous Andre.

Women's Battle Royal

9 of 14

Q: Forget booking logic for a moment. Which woman do you want to see win this match the most based solely on personal preference?

RD: Lynch. She's a great performer with little direction at the moment. A win here could be a smart way to kickstart a run to the SmackDown women's title.

Prediction: Banks wins by last ousting Bayley.

AM: The Revival talked about being the first tag team to win their match, which makes no sense, but let's apply that to The Iconic Duo and have both Billie Kay and Peyton Royce win it together. That would give them the heat to move to the main roster and look like a pair we should be paying attention to.

Prediction: Bayley wins.

KB: Every single chance I get, I'm going to hope Becky Lynch gets her moment. The forgotten member of The Four Horsewomen has not been allowed to do much lately, and this match would the perfect chance to reintroduce her to the world and potentially set up an incredible clash with Asuka down the line.

Prediction: Lynch takes advantage of the infighting between Banks and Bayley to take the win.

GM: Lynch absolutely deserves to win this thing. She has been overlooked for far too long, and while this Battle Royal will likely mean next to nothing, it would be a nice moment for her.

Prediction: Lynch, because why not?

EB: As a longtime fan of Lynch, I would love to see her win here. Over the past year, she has been as poorly utilized and disregarded by WWE management as possible despite her strong connection with fans and having the best babyface comeback on the entire women's roster. Give her the win and some momentum coming out of the show.

Prediction: Banks wins.

CM: Lynch. She needs something to get her back on track after being overshadowed by Charlotte for the past year.

Prediction: Lynch wins.

JJ: Nikki Cross. She is a loose cannon, and I love watching her in the ring.

Prediction: Nikki Cross wins.

The Usos vs. New Day vs. Bludgeon Brothers (SmackDown Tag Titles)

10 of 14

Q: Who is the most overlooked tag team on SmackDown, and why do they deserve to be in this match too?

AM: As much as I enjoy Breezango and many others in the division, I'd argue that no other tag team should be added to the mix, as they would just dilute it. These three teams will do a better job in a Triple Threat than they would in a Fatal 4-Way.

Prediction: The Bludgeon Brothers take the titles.

GM: Although they've been in the tag team title mix before, I thoroughly believe Chad Gable and Shelton Benjamin deserve better. I wouldn't put them in this match because they have been far removed from this rivalry, but hopefully they get their due coming out of WrestleMania.

Prediction: The Usos retain the SmackDown Tag Team Championship.

KB: I like the composition of the Triple Threat, so I wouldn't add anyone. However, Breeze and Fandango easily are the most overlooked team, not just on SmackDown Live but in WWE. They deserve far better, as they are consistently entertaining and underrated performers.

Prediction: Bludgeon Brothers dominate their talented competitors and take the tag titles.

CM: Chad Gable and Shelton Benjamin would be the only team I could see adding anything significant to this match, but the three teams involved don't need any help to make their showdown fun.

Prediction: The Bludgeon Brothers finally win their first tag titles as partners.

JJ: None. The rest of the tag division is middling, and the top three teams are right where they belong

Prediction: The New Day begin another title reign.

AJ Styles vs. Shinsuke Nakamura (WWE Title)

11 of 14

Q: Which feud are you more invested in as a fan, Nakamura vs. Styles or Lesnar vs. Reigns? What did WWE do to make you care about one more than the other?

RD: I'm more into the match itself when it comes to Nakamura vs. Styles and the story of Lesnar vs. Reigns. The latter has been building for three years and has thrown in a sizable amount of reality in regard to how many view Lesnar today.

Prediction: Nakamura wins his first WWE Championship.

AM: While the feud itself has had no storyline to it, I'm much more interested in Shinsuke Nakamura vs. AJ Styles because the quality of their match should be significantly better. Plus, WWE has done nothing in the past year to make me stop thinking that Roman Reigns vs. Brock Lesnar is a horrible idea. Absolutely nothing.

Prediction: Nakamura becomes the new champion with a knee to the face.

KB: Lesnar vs. Reigns has me far more interested, mainly because it has an actual story behind it. While both matches are almost certain to be incredible, little has been done to establish Styles and Nakamura's conflict. In contrast, it is easy to understand why Lesnar and Reigns want to rip each other apart.

Prediction: Nakamura connects with a second Kinshasa for a career-defining victory.

GM: I'm more excited for Styles vs. Nakamura simply because it's a dream match in WWE, but Lesnar and Reigns' feud has been much better booked. Thus, there is no doubt in my mind Lesnar vs. Reigns should go on last.

Prediction: Nakamura wins the WWE Championship.

EB: Styles vs. Nakamura's entire build has been based on the idea it is a dream match, while WWE Creative has actually put effort behind Reigns and Lesnar. As a fan, I'm more intrigued by Styles vs. Nakamura for the match itself.

Prediction: Nakamura wins.

CM: I have struggled with this. WWE did a great job in making Reigns vs. Lesnar interesting in recent weeks, but the idea of Styles vs. Nakamura is more exciting. If forced to choose, I would pick Styles and Nakamura.

Prediction: Styles is one of the few champions to retain at WrestleMania.

JJ: Nakamura vs. Styles by far. We've seen both matches, but the pure wrestling potential of Nakamura vs. Styles supersedes anything WWE could do to make me remotely interested in Reigns vs. Lesnar

Prediction: Nakamura becomes WWE Champion.

Brock Lesnar vs. Roman Reigns (Universal Title)

12 of 14

Q: If Reigns wins the title on Sunday, who is the best choice to be his first challenger and why?

RD: Balor, who never actually lose the universal title, against a heel Reigns would be stellar stuff. They showed great chemistry in their early meetings.

Prediction: Reigns wins a thriller.

AM: If WWE is delusional and keeps Reigns as a babyface who gets booed, Baron Corbin would be an interesting opponent to be the first to lose to him—just for something different. If WWE is willing to let him be the heel he should be, Finn Balor would be interesting if he isn't holding the Intercontinental Championship.

Prediction: Reigns wins the title and still gets booed.

KB: Ideally, Reigns would be facing someone he has not faced before, and he has battled most of the roster. The one performer who may be perfectly positioned for a feud with Reigns is Sami Zayn, who will likely be switching brands after 'Mania and is just coming into his own as a top heel.

Prediction: Reigns takes out Lesnar with a trio of Spears to finally dethrone The Beast.

GM: There have been rumblings Samoa Joe will get the first crack at Reigns coming out of WrestleMania, with Dave Meltzer of Wrestling Observer Newsletter reporting as much (h/t Luke Gardener of the Daily Star). But Rollins would be a better choice. After all, he pinned Reigns in that Gauntlet match a while back, so it would be nice attention to detail if they rekindled their rivalry because of that.

Prediction: Reigns wins the Universal Championship.

EB: Samoa Joe. He has a winning record against Reigns and, coming off an injury that forced him to the sidelines, could come back red-hot as the dangerous top contender to the new champion.

Prediction: Roman Reigns wins.

CM: A returning Samoa Joe would be ideal, but it would also be fun to see Reigns have another match or two with Strowman.

Prediction: Reigns ends Lesnar's yearlong title reign.

JJ: Rollins. Let him feud as a partial heel and reverse the Shield trope. At this point, you either give fans a reason to boo or lean into the Reigns "hate."

Prediction: Reigns wins.

Daniel Bryan and Shane McMahon vs. Sami Zayn and Kevin Owens

13 of 14

Q: With all the recent additions to the roster since Bryan retired in 2016, who is the opponent you are most excited to see him face after 'Mania?

RD: Bryan vs. The Miz has the best narrative base to build on and the promos leading up to it are going to be dynamite.

Prediction: Bryan and McMahon win.

AM: AJ Styles. Without a doubt. If there is only one more match left in Daniel Bryan, that is the one that has to happen, as it's the one that has the most potential to be an instant classic.

Prediction: Bryan and McMahon win, but Owens and Zayn end up on Raw soon after.

KB: Honestly, I just want to see Bryan beat up The Miz again, but, if I'm purely focusing on a wrestler he has not gotten a chance to fight yet, I would love to see the two best in the business go at it. Styles vs. Bryan is just about as grand a main event as I could imagine.

Prediction: Bryan and Shane send KO and Zayn packing, only for the latter duo to sign on with Raw the next night.

GM: Shinsuke Nakamura himself has said he wants Bryan in the ring at some point, and that would be an unreal match for sure. Hopefully, that will be our WWE Championship match at next year's WrestleMania.

Prediction: Owens and Zayn win.

CM: They are already fighting Sunday, but seeing a singles match between Zayn and Bryan would be a dream come true. The two underdogs would have a Match of the Year candidate.

Prediction: Someone turns heel and lets Zayn and Owens win to regain their jobs.

JJ: Johnny Gargano. This is the barn-burner of the century smoldering under the ring of our fantasies

Prediction: Zayn and Owens win to get reinstated.

The Undertaker vs. John Cena

14 of 14

Q: WWE hasn't made this match official, but we all know it's going to happen. Was WWE smart to keep The Undertaker away from the buildup, or should he have shown up at least once before the PPV?

RD: Teasing Undertaker's arrival was fine, but it's baffling that they didn't bring him back and make this thing official. The Deadman vs. Cena is too big a bout to make an impromptu addition to the card.

Prediction:  Undertaker returns and outlasts Cena.

AM: If this doesn't lead to a match, it would be a huge mistake to tease the audience in the way this has gone down. If it does, it's still arguably a mistake to not advertise it ahead of time, as The Undertaker's appearance on Raw could have been a marquee moment and a lot of fun.

Prediction: The Undertaker wins.

KB: If WWE believes it can sell out WrestleMania without confirming this match, it was the smart decision. It makes for the best story to have Taker only officially appear at the show that has defined his legacy and hopefully look good enough to add a positive note to the end of his career.

Prediction: Taker shows off his power one last time and defeats Cena with a Tombstone Piledriver.

GM: WWE has definitely gotten a lot of fans intrigued with the way it has built this up, so there is that, but it was a mistake to not have Undertaker and Cena interact on The Road to WrestleMania. The company could still salvage it by bringing out Big Evil Undertaker at WrestleMania, though.

Prediction: Cena wins.

CM: It depends on what happens Sunday. If Undertaker returns with his biker persona, keeping it a surprise was the smart move, but if he is just his same old self, he should have been there for the build at least once.

Prediction: The Undertaker wins to close out his phenomenal career in style.

JJ: WWE would have been smarter to have done this match years ago or not let it happen at all.

Prediction: Cena wins.
