In a sport full of fake wrestling, don't be fooled about one key WWE storyline—there really was bad blood between Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson and John Cena.

The Rock recently made an appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live! to promote his new movie, Rampage. As fate would have it, Cena will be on the show Thursday to promote his newest project, Blockers. Knowing the schedule, Jimmy Kimmel asked Johnson about the WWE stars' relationship.

While noting the two are now "best friends," the Rock admitted the rivalry was real: "In the world of wrestling, as you guys know, it's fictionalized, it's a TV show. But we had our rivalry, and now we can look back on it, it was so real. Like, we had real problems with each other. ... We had real issues with each other."

Now we wait to see if the topic comes up during Cena's appearance.
