Noah Syndergaard to Fan Who Said He'd Dye Hair If Thor Had 10 Ks: Pay Your Debts

Adam WellsMar 29, 2018

New York Mets star Noah Syndergaard kicked off the 2018 season in style with 10 strikeouts and no walks in a 9-4 win over the St. Louis Cardinals on Thursday.

Following his electrifying start, Syndergaard called out a fan on Twitter who said three weeks ago he would "dye his ugly dark brown hair blonde" if the Mets pitcher had at least 10 strikeouts on Opening Day:

While Syndergaard awaits to see if the fan pays up on his debt, Mets fans are smiling after seeing Thor back to doing what he does best.

Injuries limited Syndergaard to just seven starts in 2017, with his last two appearances covering a total of three innings. His ability to stay healthy this season will go a long way toward getting the Mets back into the playoff conversation.
