
Michael Jordan Praises Kemba Walker for Becoming Hornets All-Time Leading Scorer
Charlotte Hornets owner Michael Jordan released a statement praising guard Kemba Walker for becoming the franchise's all-time leading scorer in Wednesday's game against the Cleveland Cavaliers.
"I'm really happy for Kemba. Becoming a franchise's all-time leading scorer is a big accomplishment and it's a testament to his hard work, dedication and passion for the game of basketball," Jordan said. "He exemplifies what it means to be a Hornet.
"His effort, leadership and commitment to our team and the city of Charlotte is second to none. I'm proud to have him on our team. Congratulations, Kemba!"

Walker passed Dell Curry on the Hornets' franchise scoring list with 18.9 seconds remaining in Charlotte's 118-105 loss against Cleveland at Spectrum Center. He currently has 9,841 points for his career.
"I'm not supposed to be here. A lot of people from where I'm from don't make it. ... This is a huge accomplishment," Walker said on the floor after the game.
