John Cena Says Daniel Bryan Was Born to Wrestle, Among the Healthiest in WWE
Daniel Bryan was gone from WWE for two years after retiring due to a spate of concussions. But Bryan has been medically cleared to return, and fellow star John Cena was pleased to hear that.
"He worked his ass off to make that happen," Cena told TMZ Sports. "It is what he was born to do. ... He's back where he belongs."
On Tuesday, Bryan tweeted about his upcoming return:
"He's gone through every single protocol, tenfold," Cena said. "He's one of the healthiest people in WWE, and it just takes a lot of convincing of other minds that he's that healthy."
On Tuesday night's SmackDown, Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn attacked SmackDown Live general manager Bryan, a multi-time WWE champion, after he fired the duo for going after SmackDown commissioner Shane McMahon the week before.
Following the storyline beatdown, fans are now expecting Bryan to make his in-ring return by teaming with McMahon against Owens and Zayn at WrestleMania 34.
It will arguably be the most anticipated match of the event and perhaps even the most anticipated match of the last two years.
